    OSS/NMS Manager

    Job Description    

    • Manage the smooth operation of all OSS/NMS platforms ensuring proper fault management, configuration management, performance management and security management are provided for on all Network elements on the network in line with the overall business objective.
    • Serve the Division’s internal customers and provide solutions to improve the customer experience.
    • Strategic Partnerships with MTNN leadership team to drive awareness on expected behaviours and impact on non-compliance on bottom line results and company image/reputation.
    • Drive planned strategy for the successful delivery of MTN Group and MTNN transformation initiatives focusing on Customer centricity, including Perfect 10 Project.
    • Drive an increase in MTNN’s Net Promoter Score. Interface with various units in MTN; VAS planning, service creation, IS, HLS/DCG,RA, CPG,TX services, switch operations etc in the development and support of OSS/NMS services Network and build solid relationships with internal units and relevant third parties (e.g. strategic investors, technical and finance partners, business consultants etc.) and develop a close working relationship with relevant information sources to provide an integrated service.
    • Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external suppliers.
    • Coordinate, coach and influence external partners and essential support departments across MTNN’s business units to deliver a seamless pre-sales and post-sales service experience.
    • Establish and maintain relationship with strategic 3rd party suppliers and vendors
    • Develop and set the acceptance criteria for new OSS/NMS platforms
    • Ensure smooth integration of new network elements into the operational network Schedule all tasks and projects related to the OSS/NMS
    • Oversee prompt resolution of major OSS/NMS faults and CSRs
    • Oversee and coordinate all technical activities, including activities of direct reports.
    • Ensure continuous monitoring of network performance of the Core Network Ensure the MTN OSS/NMS configurations meet the market requirements as well as ITU specifications
    • Ensure weekly reports on overall performance of the OSS/NMS platforms are available
    • Develop new philosophies or new user requirements on high level specifics for OSS/NMS platforms

    Job Condition

    • Normal MTNN working conditions.
    • National travel and a valid drivers license

    Experience & Training    

    • First degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Engineering or related discipline Master Advantageous

    Minimum of 6 years’ experience which includes:

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of specialisation; with experience in supervising/managing others
    • Experience working in a medium to large organization
    • Project management/ITIL Manager certification Training
    • Leadership/Supervisory/Management Development Programs
    • Project and quality Management
    • Technical report writing

    Minimum qualification:  

    • BA, BEd, BEng, BSc, BTech or HND
