    Scheduling Engineer

    A leading Power Company in Nigeria seeks to engage the services of a Scheduling Engineer for an Open Cycle Power Plant Project in Nigeria for site assignment.

    Main duties

    1. Schedule development
    a) Develop a project plan and schedule that reflects the defined scope of work.
    b) Prepare an executable project plan based on reference schedule and comply with contract schedule.
    c) Review and integrate feedback from technical leads into the project schedule.

    2. Progress Monitoring
    a) Update the project schedule to assess planned progress against actual progress.
    b) Identify critical and sub-critical activity sequences and develop mitigations measures with the team and Consortium partner.
    c) Prepare adequate schedule and progress reports to communicate and document the project status.
    d) Ensuring continuous schedule feedback from site staff, collecting of relevant schedule data, evaluating impact on progress, deadlines and contractual milestones and inform Site Manager accordingly and present deviation reports.
    e) Forensic analysis of events to support claim defense and claim preparation if adequate
    Control of activity durations / progress based on man-hour and quantity tracking delivered by site.

    3. Management Coordination
    a) Present and answer questions on project schedules at project and contractor meetings.
    b) Perform scheduling analysis (what-if-scenarios) for crucial events and report solutions
    c) Work in concert with the project team and Lead Scheduler
    d) According to contract management requirements to identify and to record all claim relevant delays and corresponding events in the delay register and to archive them for further analysis and claim preparation.
    e) Document and archive daily progress by taking photos during the site walk down.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering or equivalent experience.
    • 5 years working experience in Power plant or relevant position.
    • Candidates should be live in or be ready to relocate Benin, Edo State.
