    Warehouse Officer

    Job Description:

    • Meet warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans; contribute to improving customer-service standards and identifying warehouse system improvements.
    • Meet warehouse financial standards by providing annual budget information, monitoring expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions.
    • Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from warehouse, coordinating inventory transfers with related departments.
    • Maintains storage area by organizing floor space, adhering to storage design principles, recommending improvements
    • Maintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts, reconciling variances, inputting data
    • Secures warehouse by turning alarms on and testing systems
    • Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
    • Accomplishes warehouse and organization mission by completing related results as needed
    • Assign employees to specific duties.
    • Examine merchandise to ensure that it is correctly priced and displayed and it functions as advertised
    • Enforce safety, health, and security rules
    • Inventory stock and reorder when inventory drops to a specified level
    • Review inventory and liaise with Store Manager to prepare reports for management and budget departments
    • Plan budgets and authorize payments and merchandise returns
    • Examine products purchased for resale or received for storage to assess the condition of each product or item

    Qualification, Minimum Experience and Role Requirement:

    • A minimum of Bachelor degree in any relevant discipline
    • Minimum of 2 - 3 years’ relevant experience especially in the retail industry
    • Membership of a reputable and relevant institution
