    Finance Director

    Roles and Responsibilities

    URC is seeking qualified candidates to lead a major potential project involving strengthening malaria case management in Nigeria. The position is based in Nigeria and is expected to be a five year assignment. The Finance Director will:

    • Oversee administrative, logistical and financial management for the project
    • Be responsible for the budgeting process, procurement, inventory, and forecasting
    • Work the Chief of Party to ensure efficient functioning of administrative and financial process and maintain adequate internal controls
    • Collaborate with USAID, the Chief of Party and other relevant partners to establish innovating financing
    • Manage any subcontracts or grants in the program
    • Prepare financial reports for the project
    • Liaise with other key technical personnel and local staff to ensure smooth administrative and financial processes are upheld
    • Oversee state-level finance and administrative activities
    • Assist the Chief of Party with all logistical coordination and procurement

    Minimum Qualifications

    • An advanced degree in finance, business administration, or related field
    • Demonstrated knowledge in and experience with USAID procedures
    • At least five years of experience in a management position in the public or private sector in developing countries
    • Knowledge of and experience in public health and/or international development are desirable
    • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and/or experiences to manage a program of similar magnitude and complexity, work collaboratively across technical disciplines and communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
    • Ability to travel throughout Nigeria
    • Applications from Nigerian nationals strongly preferred
