    Finance Manager

    Objective: Overall responsibility for the operations of the organisation.

    Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

    Job Purpose

    The Finance Manager will be responsible for:

    • Organising and managing company finance, including that of its services and administering payroll related functions
    • Assisting the Managing Director, the senior leadership team (SLT) and the team members in formulating budgets for company materials and resources stipulating aims and objectives of the various company purchases.
    • Supporting and encouraging the company’s ethos and its objectives, policies and procedures.

    Job specification

    Finance and accounting

    • She/he shall:
    • In consultation with the Managing Director, prepare the company’s annual budget and review and update as necessary.
    • Monitor income and expenditure in relation to the company’s budget, and produce monthly reports for the Managing Director.
    • Keep all company accounts and prepare income and expenditure reports in accordance with the FIRS and LIRS financial regulations, and shall prepare accounts for submission to the company’s auditors.
    • Assist in the preparation for the annual audit, liaising with all parties involved.
    • Maintain and oversee all bank accounts including the company’s debit card/s, completing

    monthly reconciliations and reporting banking errors to the Managing Director.

    • Assist in the preparation of accurate V A T accounting and payment so that V A T reclaim returns are submitted as required
    • Be responsible for cash flow projections and all elements of cash handling including collections and disbursements, banking and security, fundraising etc.
    • Be responsible for the completion of the company’s payroll, ensuring all staff salary forms and timesheets are submitted within required deadlines to the bank.

    Qualifications and specifications:

    • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting required. Master’s Degree in Business Administration would be an added advantage.
    • A minimum of 3- 5years experience in accounting practice.
    • Advanced MS skills.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision – self-motivated & confident.
    • Confident public speaking and able to express ideas verbally and in writing.
    • Preferred experience in commodity trading – mainly in Indian trading companies.
    • Female preferably.
