Job Responsibilities

•     Develop and implement occupational health and safety systems, including policies, procedures and manuals.
•     Review internal HSE policies, procedures and practices to ensure they are current and accurate; conduct hazard and risk assessments and change existing, or develop new recommendations from these assessments.
•     Maintain an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge and prepare across the company to create a culture that prioritizes effective nd balances overall associated costs.
•     Conduct site audits and visits to all company's projects and facilities to ensure compliance with HSE requirements and HSE management system.
•     Conduct pre-occupational risk assessments on new project sites and design risk mitigation measures.

Qualifications and Requirements

•     A good first degree in Law and a qualifying legal qualification for admission into the Nigerian Bar and registration by the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
•     Prior experience managing contracts and compliance matters in the oil and gas industry.
•     Minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years post-bar experience with a skew towards commercial law.
