    Regional Sales Manager (Diabetes)

    Locations: Lagos, Abuja, Enugu, Port Harcourt - Rivers

    Job Summary

    • Responsible for business development and coordination of the sales team and distributors within your region by developing sales strategies and plans, leads and prospects and sealing deals that will meet required sales target of diabetes monitoring and lifestyle kits such as Accu-Chek Glucometers, insulin, and other diabetes care tools that will increase company customer base and strong presence in your region especially within the B2B and B2C segment.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    Business Development:

    • Conducts first level presentations for potential regional based distributors
    • Identifies market and customers prospects across different regions of operations
    • Coordinates regional trade and product shows to establish networking relationships that could lead to key sales for the company
    • Establishes good rapport with new and potential customers at regional levels
    • Suggests new diabetes services/products and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction
    • Establishes a regional distributor management channel that coordinates diabetes products sales
    • Scout market risks factors and reports to senior management to prevent negative impacts on top line

    Regional Sales Strategy Development:

    • Receives feedback from sales officers to formulate sales plan.
    • Creates and implements regional sales strategy plan in line with company objectives
    • Using knowledge of the regional markets and competitors to develop company’s unique selling propositions
    • Collaborates with Head, Diabetes to develop annual regional sales budget plans based on peculiarity of regions
    • Coordinates and reviews regional sales budget expenses and performance
    • Forecasts regional monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and profits
    • Periodic review of sales plan based on changing regional peculiarities

    Sales Coordination and Reporting:

    • Maintains and expands customer base; building and maintaining rapport with key customers and identifying new customer and distributor engagement opportunities
    • Monitors sales leads and opportunities generated from field sales officers within their regions
    • Leads partnership discussions with medical professionals at regional levels on diabetes care
    • Monitors sales volume channels, locations, customer segments and demography
    • Monitors prospect to sales conversion rates of the regional sales team and channels utilized for conversion
    • Oversee the regional sales drive programs that boost sales revenue for the company
    • Motivates and assists the regional sales officers and provides experienced approach to sales conversion
    • Communicates individual and group sales targets and strategies to sales teams
    • Evaluates individual and group sales performance
    • Prepares regional monthly, quarterly and annual sales reports

    Required Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Science or any health related course. Minimum of Second Class Upper
    • Minimum of 6-10 years’ experience in the medical, pharmaceutical or diabetes management equipment and supplies. At least 2 years in Management role
    • Professional certification or Master’s degree (MBA) will be an advantage
    • Membership of ISMMN, ICSP or any relevant health body is an added advantage
    • Proven Sales record in the health industry
