Job Summary: A Mandarin Chinese Teacher uses a variety of teaching aids to tutor students on how to read, write, and speak Mandarin Chinese. He/she achieves this by assisting students to practice vocabularies taught while guiding them to accurately listen. It is his/her responsibility to educate the students on the culture and history of countries that speak Mandarin Chinese. In addition, the teacher is expected to teach at many different levels of proficiency, so fluency in Mandarin Chinese is necessary. A Mandarin Chinese teacher must consider student needs and modify his/her teaching style to accommodate, improve students learning and language retention.

Qualification:

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Mandarin Chinese education, or a related field.
• Must be fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
• Must have a teaching certification.
• You must understand effective teaching strategies for the age and proficiency level of the students whom you wish to teach, and you should have an understanding of the language acquisition process.
• Appropriate certification.
• Must have teaching experience in a similar setting.
