    Outreach Officers

    Location: Jigawa, Kaduna, Katsina, Kano, Yobe and Zamfara
    Reporting to: State Outreach Coordinator

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support the Master Trainer Mentors to conduct cascade training for service providers from PHC facilities in the project state.
    • Support trained service providers to initiate provision of high quality integrated HTSP services at HF level
    • Participate in the conduct of HTSP out reach services in the hard to reach communities and health facilities without skilled providers in the project state.
    • Support MSION in achieving its milestones under the OFID funded MNCH 2 project in project state within the context of the MSION/MNCH 2 project core values such as client focus and no blame culture.
    • Participate fully in post training and integrated supportive supervision exercise of trained service providers.
    • Support service providers to ensure proper documentation of service delivery data and records of community outreach activities.

    Qualifications, Skills & Experience

    • Must have a recognised clinical qualification in Midwifery or Nursing (Registered Midwife or Nurse)
    • At least 1 year post-graduation experience in a Midwifery position [ESSENTIAL]
    • Experience of working in Healthy TIming and Spacing of Pregnancy Project [ESSENTIAL]
    • Excellent provider-client interaction skills to engage with clients at HF and community levels (ESSENTIAL)
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. [ESSENTIAL]
    • Articulate and analytical with attention to detail (ESSENTIAL)
    • Sympathetic to women and men seeking HTSP services [ESSENTIAL]
    • Passionate about Healthy Timing and Spacing of Pregnancy projects.
