    Job Description

    • Responsible for job allocation (according to skills, urgency, available spare parts, timing etc) and job flow in the AQ workshop including job scheduling and labour allocation for day to day operations.
    • Co-ordinate resources, (operational and human) schedules and activities to effectively manage jobs.
    • Implement all processes and policies required for the smooth and efficient working of the Workshop
    • Completely eradicate all leakages, theft, unwarranted inflows and outflows of vehicles, spareparts or persons
    • Ensure supplies are ordered for each job in a timely but cost-efficient manner and such supplies are used accordingly. This should also include oversight responsibilities pertaining to storing of new and used parts (in readiness for auditing)
    • Assist with complete quality checks and audits of ALL outgoing vehicles before final delivery to client and ensure initial complaints are sorted. All QCs are expected to be documented and logged on a daily basis
    • Ensure correct job numbers are used and that time records are correct and Job Cards of all downlines are submitted when due
    • Provide oversight and check and Cross check job estimates to curb over / under billing
    • Manage inward spare parts, checking quantities, quality, brand names and vetting invoices (with the Accountant)
    • Develop weekly progress report on each job and quickly communicate delays or concerns with the ED - Operations. Report on manpower overruns or shortfalls. Such reports to also be sent to Accountant in readiness for formal presentation at HQ.
    • Act as a technical adviser on automotive issues across other areas of the P & M Group as requested.
    • Act as the main front line of communications between AQ and P & M Automobiles regarding P & M’s “Push” clients’ vehicle status, feedback, complaints and invoices
    • Act as team lead in sales and marketing AQ’s services on a daily basis and also oversee and report on Sales & Marketing reports
    • Work with the AQ Accountant to respond to client’s requests for updates on the status of their jobs and keep the communication channels open to ensure information is accurate.
    • Identify client’s needs and explain/demonstrate AQ's services to them, which may involve technical descriptions of products and the way they may be used.
    • Receive and review feedback from customers and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction – must be included in weekly reports
    • Work with the ED Ops/ Group CFO to investigate customer complaints and concerns arising from delivered vehicles, over- invoicing and suggest appropriate solutions. Discuss with technical team to identify appropriate course of action or involve HR depending on gravity of action required
    • Develop and implement systems to record, file and store information pertaining to client enquiries
    • Identify staff that require on-going training and implement training opportunities to ensure their skills are improved (after consulting with Group HR only)
    • Work with apprentices and semi-skilled staff to role model appropriate technical skills.
    • Provide feedback on staff that are not performing to the expected level and ensure human resources / ED Operations are informed of trends in performance on a quarterly basis
    • Promote a Health and Safety culture within the business
