Project Engineer - Software at Aldelia Limited

Reports to the Project Manager.

Job Purpose

• The position exists to execute projects through planning of multi-disciplinary projects within agreed timescales and budgets functional relationships (relating to others)

Job Description

• We need a Computer Systems Engineer with revenue management systems experience, extensive software applications deployment in complex environments experience, as well as system support.
• Ensure all disciplines and elements of the project are properly coordinated
• Ensure that the scope for the project is included
• Ensure the timely completion of the project per the original and agreed upon timescales and that all time is logged correctly on the incident management system
• Ensure all expenditure on the project is within the agreed budget and look for ways to reduce costs
• Ensure that project deliverables are of an acceptable standard and will satisfy the requirements and business drivers
• Ensure all standard operating procedures are adhered to
• Communicate improvement possibilities and participate in improvement initiatives
• Assist in building an effective project team
• Document all processes and train internal and customer staff using company's solutions
• Provide reporting on all project related activities
• Identify, analyse, weigh and procure action plans to counter risks
• Ensure the acquisition of goods and services

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Information Systems or Computer Systems Engineering
• A+, N+, MCDBA, MCSE are advantageous
• Database maintenance and Microsoft SQL scripting qualification
• SQL report writing qualification
• Project management qualification mandatory
• At least 5 years' experience in electronic engineering industry and/or prepaid metering industry
• Experience in Microsoft SQL server
• Experience in networking and telecoms, covering Microsoft applications, database platforms, GSM and radio networking
• Drivers licence
