Detailed Job description:
YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT NECESSARILY BE LIMITED TO:
- Learn, operate, and maintain IP network delivering IP data, voice and video to deployed customer access network.
- Provide IP network support of new and existing services and features.
- Support second and third tier escalations for all operational outages in IP network.
- Troubleshoot IP network problems quickly and help provide sound engineering solutions by maintaining deep knowledge of IP network and GPON Network architecture, topology, and up-to-date configuration details.
- Document engineering solutions in accordance to in-house standards including but not limiting to the following documents: Detailed Integration Test Plan documents.
- Conduct high-quality and comprehensive LAB tests to prove viability of proposed engineering solutions.
- On-Call 24x7 rotation.
YOU ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant technical experience with a small to medium national network.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Math degree or equivalent work experience.
- Cisco/ mikrotik qualifications, minimum CCNP studying towards CCIE/CCSP.
- Must have routing and switching experience (Very Important!!).
- Must have knowledge of setting up VLAN and IP addressing.
- Knowledge of Firewall principles, able to commission H3C firewalls and maintenance work.
- Knowledge on BGP, IS-IS, OSPF protocols, Firewall rules and Best practices.
