    Medical Advisor Global Fund TB Project

    Responsibilities

    • The TB project is for a duration of 1 year, six month renewable on extension of project and satisfactory performance.

    He/She shall:

    • Provide technical support for the implementation of Global Fund TB program in the states supported by TLM Nigeria.
    • Maintain contact with National TB and Leprosy Control Programme (NTBLCP), donors, implementing partners and other stakeholders on behalf of the organization.
    • Support the States TBLC Programmes in policy formulation, communication development, advocacy and routine collation of TB data.
    • Analyze field reports to determine weaknesses in programme delivery and suggest recommendations for improvements.
    • Lead the production of programmatic and M and E progress reports.
    • Coordinate the preparation and submission of Progress Update and Disbursement Request ((PUDR) reports.

    Requirements
    Interested candidates should have the following:

    • First degree from a recognized institution in Medicine & Surgery,
    • An MPH would be an added advantage,
    • Minimum of 5 years working experience on donor funded TB projects in Nigeria
    • Strong skills in leadership, organizational, analytical, institutional capacity strengthening.
    • Ability to relate effectively with development partners, Civil Society Organizations and Ministry of Health at national and state levels,
    • Excellent written and oral communication, skills with proficiency in computer packages
    • such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Epi-info and SPSS are necessary .
    • Experience and good understanding of Global
    • Fund principles and procedures is desirable.

    Officer, Monitoring and Evaluation - TB

    Reporting to: HPO

    Specific Responsibilities

    • Provide technical support and oversight to ensure monitoring and evaluation excellence of the GF TB project.
    • Provide technical support to Sub-Recipients (SR5) in ensuring that programmatic data/indicators are accurately captured, and reported according to set guidelines.
    • Support the development and design of the M&E framework, tools and project M&E plans, guidelines and ensure efficient data management processes
    • Conduct routine monitoring and supportive supervisory visits to project sites, including the conduct of data verification and validation and data quality assessments (DQAs) using standard checklists
    • Support monitoring activities to project sites, collation/analysis of monitoring reports for program feedback and decision making.

    Qualifications

    • Applicants must have a University first degree in relevant discipline .
    • A masters degree public health will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Monitoring and Evaluation on Tuberculosis, Malaria or related fields and programs in developing countries: and working experience with Global
    • Fund, USAID or any other donor funded programs is desirable.
    • Computer literacy with demonstrated use of word processing, database and presentation software (Word, Excel, Power Point).
    • Experience with database development and management and statistical analysis software (SPSS, EPI-INFO, STATA, SAS or similar) is also a plus.
