Import/Export And Logistic Manager at Fadac Resources

Our client is an FMCG conglomerate  company. They are major distributors of electronic products and have branches scathered all over Nigeria. Due to expansion, they are in need of a Import/Export & Logistics Manager. 

Responsibilities 

Under the supervision of the Operation Manager, the Import/Export and Logistics Manager is accountable to facilitate the receiving and storing, moving and shipping of supplies, stock and materials, effectively managing the timely flow of order processing.

Tasks and Duties

• Adhere to shipping/receiving and regulatory-compliance procedures
• Comply with laws, regulations and standards
• Complete documentation such as pick lists, bills of lading, work orders and shipping orders using computer-based technology
• Complete daily shipping and receiving logs
• Dispatch freight for delivery and arrange for pickups
• Record shipment data such as weight, charges and damages
• Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue shipping instructions and delivery of materials
• Rectify problems such as damages, shortages and non-conformance to specification
• Document and escalate any customer service issues and/or shipping/receiving errors
• Assist with training of new employees
• Complete safety reports in relation to health and safety issues
• Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with those on your team, as well as cross-functionally.

Education and Experience

• A degree in any Science or social science is a must Master’s Degree in Business or Transportation/Logistics Management will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience is a must.
