Duties and responsibilities
Amongst other duties, the Quality Control Manager will:

Implement and Manage the Quality Control Environment:

• Implement a Brewery Wide Quality Management Vision and Strategy
• Implement and Lead Integrated Quality Management Systems
• Sustain and Maintain Quality Ethos at Brewery Level

Lead and Assure the Integrity of the Quality Measurement Systems:

• Lead Measurement Management
• Assure Governance and Integrity of Results and processes

Analyse Data to Identify Quality and Food Safety Risks:

• Lead Brewery/Plant Wide Quality Problem Solving and Improvement Initiatives

Protect Organisation Reputation and Product Integrity:

• Align Stakeholders to Policy and Legislation
• Enforce HACCP and all food safety initiative.
• Manage Trade Quality Function
• Manage Consumer Complaint
• Manage Supplier Partnering Programme

Manage Financial Performance (Management):

• Manage Budget Process and Control Departmental Costs
• Build Business Acumen

Manage Occupational Health, Safety, Risk and Environment (Level 3):

• Apply Occupational Health, Safety and Risk Procedures

Manage Human Resources:

• Develop Employees and Manage Performance of Direct Reports
• Ensure a Healthy Industrial Relations Climate
• Manage and Apply Personnel Processes and Communicate Effectively In the Workplace

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Microbiology or equivalent
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Quality in a brewery or FMCG environment.
• Membership of relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage

Requirements:

• Understanding of process control within a brewing/process environment
• Assertive and analytical
• Proven leadership ability
• Good understanding of the principles and practices of Manufacturing Excellence & knowledge of manufacturing way principles
• Analytic problem solver, proactive, independent and high on initiative
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Microsoft office proficiency i.e. MS word, Excel & PowerPoint

• Run the Utilities Plant
• Carry Out Plant Shutdown
• Execute Cleaning
• Complete All Documentation
• Control Inputs Usage
• Ensure Brewing Plant Is In Working Order

Monitor and Control the Process (Utilities Operator):

• Measure Performance Attributes
• Record Performance Attributes
• Monitors and Evaluates Trends of Performance Attributes
• Initiate Corrective Action

Maintain Safe, Healthy and Risk Free Working Environment:

• Comply With Safe, Health and Environmental Procedures and Legislation

Requirements

• Applicant must have OND/Trade Test Electrical/Mechanical
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Operator or similar capacity preferably in a beer manufacturing environment or FMCG.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office applications i.e. (Microsoft Excel , Word and PowerPoint)
