    Private Equity Investment Principal (Due Diligence / Investment Transactions / Private Equity)

    Job Description:
    An Asset and Fund Management company is seeking an Investment Principal to assist in sourcing, structuring, executing and managing investments.  The Principal will be an integral part of the management team and will work directly with senior management on transactions as needed, providing execution support.  The initial goal will be to have the Principal consult on a part-time basis, assisting to evaluate investment transactions (whilst senior management team members focus primarily on fundraising activities) and then join on a full-time basis once the fundraising first closing of US$ 60 – US$ 100 million has been achieved.
     
    Key Accountabilities:

    • Assist other senior team members in sourcing potential investments for the Fund.
    • Negotiating, structuring and executing transactions alongside a Partner.
    • Overseeing and managing the work of Associates assigned to his/her deal team for the evaluation and execution of transactions.  
    • Assist Partners in overseeing due diligence exercises of third party vendors on potential investee companies.  Such due diligence exercises will include financial and accounting, legal, background checks, environmental and social, etc.  Technical and commercial due diligence will be overseen by the Operating Partner, who may or may not require assistance from the Investment Principal.
    • As needed, work with Operating Partner and other Partners on post-investment portfolio company management.
    • Assist with the preparation of quarterly portfolio company and Fund reports to the limited partners of the Fund.
    • Manage junior level staff on an on-going basis.

    Requirements: Qualification and Skill

    • MBA from a top-tier global business school.
    • Must have 5+ years of post-MBA experience in Africa private equity. 
    • A minimum of 2 years of private equity experience at the Vice President/Principal.
    • Strong experience leading or jointly leading the execution of investment transactions, especially within Africa.
    • Experience executing transactions in East Africa.
    • Experience consummating investment transactions in the foods, beverages and agribusiness sectors is a plus.
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
    • Willingness to be based in Lagos, Nigeria with significant travel within and outside of Nigeria required. 
    • A team player with strong coaching and leadership skills.

    Security Control Room Officer (Mining / CCTV / Access Control / Diamonds)

    Job Description:
    Monitoring of daily security operations and all general security aspects on the Project Concession area, inclusive of the diamond processing, handling, and safekeeping of the diamond production.

    Responsibilities:

    • Staff the Security Department Control Rooms and operate all the functions, to agreed levels, within it including CCTV, access control, alarm, telephonic and radio systems, as well as the distribution of keys, recording details in logbooks as appropriate.
    • Monitor and test the daily electronic operations of CCTV, Access Control System and fire alarm equipment, including the quality of surveillance and detection facilities and affect corrections as required.
    • Provides hardware and software troubleshooting support to various locations, seeking technical advice and support as required.
    • Undertake staff training as required and receive guidance and instruction from the HOD Security or his representative when necessary. Help train new members of the security department in working at Security Control Rooms and complete assessment forms as required.
    • Identifying high-risk areas and maintaining constant surveillance.
    • Maintaining Constant Communication with other Security Departments on the Mine.
    • Reporting and Managing of Emergencies
