    Database Administrator (DBA)

     

    We have significant opportunities for talented, inspired, and collaborative Database and SAS Solutions professionals. Working closely with Solution Architecture, Management and Business Leads, you will drive the architecture, design, implementation and administration of our enterprise business solutions.

    The Role:
    We are looking for a highly skilled and hands on DBA with extensive experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server technologies. The individual will also be expected to acquire significant experience in implementing, configuring and maintaining SAS platforms and solutions. The role will consist of a combination of incident, requests and proactive platform management activities.

    Responsibilities:

    •   Provide excellent technical support for Oracle and SQL Database environment.
    •  Willingness to pick up skills on SAS 9 platform Architecture, Installation, Configuration and support duties
    • Provide operational support for DB issues initiated from Incidents or Changes.
    • Provide solutions and root-cause analysis of system performance and failure related issues.
    • Work on an onsite shift-rota and provide off site 24x7 support.
    • Work on projects and provide close liaison with project teams to ensure the smooth transition of new databases and initiatives into the Production environment.
    • Work closely with manager and team members.
    • Review and recommend options to improve the effectiveness of the database infrastructure.
    • Establish/maintain best practices, processes and procedures to underpin the operations of the business.
    • Performance monitoring/Testing and capacity planning.
    • Creation/maintenance of full system documentation, including DR documentation.
    • ·Innovation - continually looking at ways to improve infrastructure, for a faster and more efficient environment.

    Skills:

    • Excellent working knowledge of Oracle RDBMS 9i/10/11g
    • Good working knowledge of Oracle RAC
    • Good working knowledge of SQL 2000/2005/2008/2012
    • Experience working with NOSQL
    • Experience using a Scripting language to automate tasks
    • Excellent working knowledge of SQL High Availability features
    • Experience of performance and tuning optimising SQL DB's
    • {C}Experience of monitoring and alerting tools for DB's
    • Experience of ITIL v3 standards or a certificate in ITIL v3 foundation skills beneficial
    • Experience of Data Architecture and Database programming tools
    • Experience of use of solution design tools

    Knowledge:

    • Solid experience of working within a technical support function as an Oracle/SQL DBA
    • Degree educated preferable
    • Experience with multi-lingual and multi-currency solutions is a big advantage

    Enterprise Solutions Architect

     

    TriVersa are currently looking to recruit a fulltime Enterprise Solutions Architect with knowledge of setting up an IT architecture practise, delivering large and complex Enterprise IT solutions and providing IT architecture and advisory consultancy services.  We require someone with significant experience in Application, Business, Infrastructure and Data architectures. This individual must have experience of embedding TOGAF and possibly COBIT within a large enterprise and must be accredited to TOGAF 9.1.

    Responsibilities:

    •  Ability to communicate and sell the vision of Enterprise Architecture (EA) to a large organisation and  also able to provide guidance towards adoption and embedding EA within the organisation
    • Developing enterprise solutions concepts to match customer specific business and services agenda
    •  Familiar with specific use of EA in at least two of the following sectors: Banking, Insurance,  Telecoms, Government, Oil and Gas and Aviation sectors
    • Experienced at performing architecture impact assessment exercises and able to positively influence business architecture and strategic business objectives
    •  Able to define principles, policies, processes to govern adoption of Enterprise IT architecture within an organisation
    • Able to setup Enterprise Architecture Practise (EAP) in line with standards and best-practise
    • Able to provide strategic technical leadership and governance for an enterprise and lead and mentor IT architects

    Junior Business Analyst

     

    We are currently looking to recruit a fulltime Junior Business Analyst with some knowledge of IT, Business, Data and Application requirements gathering and management experience. He or she must have worked on a couple of requirements gathering projects and have a good degree in Business Management, IT or Software Engineering from a reputable university.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for discovering the underlying business needs to be addressed and information related to the solution and project requirements through conversations with stakeholders.
    • Organizing, specifying and modelling the requirements to ensure they are complete and unambiguous.
    • Documenting the requirements in a format that can be shared with stakeholders.
    • Ensuring the requirements map to the real business need, are approved by all relevant stakeholders, and meet essential quality standards.
    • Responsible for documenting efficiently, business, functional and non-functional requirements towards managing customer needs

    • Liaise with consultants and managers to document business processes effectively.

    • Carry out analysis of requirements by checking for derived requirements that are logical to customers’ requests.

    Lead Enterprise Developer
