    Director of Works

     

    Qualifications

    • Candidates must possess a good degree in Engineering from a recognized University. Candidates must be registered with COREN and must have at least 15 years cognate experience with a University or comparable Institution.
    • Candidates must be of high integrity and demonstrate transparency in public and private life as well as command the loyalty and respect of staff of the University.
    • He must also be computer literate with a working knowledge of relevant packages.

    Director of Procurement

     

    Qualifications

    • Candidate must possess a good Honours Degree in any of the following disciplines: Economics, Business Administration, Accountancy, Banking and Finance, Marketing, Quantity Survey, Engineering, Architecture, Computer Science, Purchasing and Supply. Candidate must have 15 years cognate experience with a University or comparable Institution.
    • Membership of relevant professional bodies will be an advantage.
    • Candidates must be of high integrity and demonstrate transparency in public and private life as well as command the loyalty and respect of staff of the University.
    • He must also be computer literate with a working knowledge of relevant packages.

    Chief Security Officer

     

    Requirements

    • The person to be appointed must have a proven record of considerable ability, competence, industry and integrity needed to organize a robust and result oriented Campus Security System.
    • He/she must be capable of planning, organizing and implementing a coordinated and proactive security service.
    • Above all, he/she must possess good human relation and the best attribute of a leader and effective manager. He/she will be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor.
    • Candidates should possess a good Honours Degree from a recognized University coupled with a Certificate in Security Training.
    • They should have at least 14 (fourteen) years cognate experience in Security Services.
    • Candidates must have attained the rank of not less than Chief Superintendent of Police or its equivalent in any of the Armed Forces Experience in any comparable institution will be of advantage.

    External Auditor

     

    Eligibility
    The prospective appointee must show:

    • Evidence of Firms registration with the Cooperate Affairs Commission (CAC);
    • Evidence of Firms registration with the Office of the Auditor- General for the Federation in 2016;
    • The Firms profile, including professional qualifications of the key Staff, past experience with respect to similar jobs which have been successfully handled etc.
    • Evidence of financial capability (Bank reference);
    • Audited accounts of the Firm for the last three years i.e. 2015, 2014 and 2013;
    • Evidence of VAT registration and valid Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three years i.e. 2015, 2014 and 2013 and
    • Evidence of compliance with the provisions of the Pension Reform Act of 2004.

    Tenure of the External Auditor

    • The appointment of the External Auditor shall be for a period of one year in the first instance, renewable annually subject to satisfactory performance, but not more than five years.

    Fees

    • Fees payable to External Auditor is based on the scale of fees issued by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or fees so agreed upon-by both the University of Ben in and the External Auditor.
