    Procurement Officer (IT)

    Job description    
    • Advise user departments and suppliers of MTN’s standard commercial terms and conditions
    • Provide information on IT related sourcing requests to user departments from time to time.
    • Make recommendations to user departments on sourcing options and solutions.
    • Identify procurement saving possibilities
    • Timely preparation of sourcing documents (RFQ, RFI and RFP)

    Senior Process Auditor

    Job description    
    • Research and analyze financial statement and audit related issues as well as assist the Internal Process Audit Manager in the development of the audit work plan.
    • Prepare and conduct work programs for assigned audits assignments.
    • Document work done in the form of work papers in accordance with the Internal Audit policies and procedures.

    Core Network Planning Engineer

    Job description    
    • Coordinating the efforts, inputs and outputs from many internal company departments, to ensure that the design and plan are carried out appropriately.

    Senior System Design Engineer

    Job description    
    1.Knowledge of GSM Telecommunication ecosystem and ability to relate this to drive digital transformation reality.
    2. Design solutions in alignment with current technology trends to aid the transformation of the organization into two sided telecom structure using best software design patterns as applicable.
    3. Support all departments in their software applications, vendor selections and vendor relationships as requested, research new systems and system upgrade recommendations.
    4. Review user requirements specifications, acquire a detailed understanding of the testing requirements for a given design, and advise on practicability of proposed architecture /design.
    5. Develop designs that support the functional requirements business application projects and include the conceptual, high-level and detailed low level design specifications for build, implementation and support of these business solution.
    6. Complete an analysis of the customer's business requirements, as it relates to technical infrastructure design, and ensure traceability of the design to the business requirements.
    7. Assess implications of a given design current and future support model; and prepare an implementation and transition plan.
    8.Develop an understanding and layout a plan of the system performance and capacity requirements, standards and criteria to satisfy the customer's business requirements for the solution.

    NSMC VAS Engineer

    Job description    

    • Source information on technical network related faults
    • Liaise with the Friendship Centers, Dealers and Sales Outlets across the country to gather information on network related faults.
    • Escalate complex problems to appropriate quarters where necessary.
    • Interface between the Customer Service Centers and Network Management Center (NMC).
    • Manage the technical help line for the NMC.

    Job description    

    • Oversee network management; faults detection, analysis, troubleshooting, escalation and resolution of all Satellite network related faults, all year round.
    •  Provide network management of all Satellite network related faults i.e Configuration, Integration, Service Activation and Operations to ensure optimal network performance, as well as meet business objectives/plans.
    • Acknowledge sites’ status on the Linkstar NMS and perform second-line maintenance of Satellite network faults.
    • Provide service assurance support for customer in order to sustain continuous service operation according to set quality level.
    • Work with Satellite support Engineer or Contractor to bring up new Satellite connection (Vsat) for corporate customer.
    • Perform and Co-ordinate Antenna Line-Up Test for a new Satellite Backbone BTS site as well as check on all satellite network elements in MTNN.
    • Oversee  Configuration and of Satellite modems and DVB Receiver e.g Paradise(P300, PD-10, PD-25), Radyne Comstream, DMD-15/DMD-20, SDM 4000, EF Data as well as daily reading of Satellite backbone connection of both National and International Voice Gateways to ensure continuous service availability.
    • Perform/escalate Real Time Performance/Management of all Satellite network elements for effectiveness and provide daily reports for the next action to be carried out to improve network quality.
    • Prepare Satellite Modem Data Interface cable to DB-connector and cross connect to MDF cut over to STM Link.
    • Act as interface and also provide access reference number to MTN Contractors, Field Engineers, Operational Maintenance Center and Datacoms Engineers for planned work/change request and access to all MTN Location.
    • Perform SATNOC duties as instructed by Satellite NOC Co-ordinator, e.g., correlation of outages, reporting, follow-up and resolution of specific network faults.
    • Assist in the development of an automated process and effective environment to improve the performance of SATNOC as well as the NMC Shift Hand-over and ensure strict compliance.
    • Ensure proper management and implementation of all network changes according to the organisation process and procedures to achieve the departmental set goal.
    • Provide regular update on MTNN performance and other network issues to all the stake holders (Management, escalation unit, customer relations, and marketing) and other relevant department in MTNN.
    • Escalate all faulty devices or hardware detected after troubleshooting/diagnosing (which cannot be resolved remotely) to the Support Engineer for replacement and assist with resolution of complex faults in order to improve network performance.
    • Escalate trouble tickets issued against all MTN Staff, other Corporate Customers, International providers, MTN contractors and all other unresolved faults to the Satellite NOC Co-ordinator; and ensure timely resolution of such.

    NSMC NSS Engineer

    Job description    

    • Activate  newly integrated BTS sites and Nodes (core element) after normal working hours, weekends, and public holidays to  ensure optimal network performance and meet business objectives and plans at all times.
    • Carry out network management; faults detection, troubleshooting, escalation and resolution of all Base Station Sub-Systems/ Nodes.
    • Detect, diagnose and acknowledge all alarms from all Base Station Sub-Systems Nodes or Elements.
    • Ensure real time performance management of all Base Station Sub-Systems network elements.
    • Provide daily reports and recommend action steps to be carried out to improve network quality.
    • Perform routine maintenance on all BSS network nodes across the country.
    • Identify malfunctioned BSS network element and trouble spots using various management tools such as Ericsson TMOS, Huaweii Manager M2000, REWSS, and REMEDY etc.
    • Resolve faults on Radio Access Nodes (BSC, BTS and Transcoder).
    • Act as interface and provide access reference number to MTN Contractors, Field Engineers, Operational Maintenance Centre Engineers and other GSM/PTOs Companies for planned work, change request and access to all MTN location.
    • Provide security information to all regional security offices across the country in order to protect all MTNN equipments through network surveillance.
    • Provide ideas and feedback on software tools, procedures and improvements to NSMC functionality.
     
    • Provide ideas and feedback on network status to the relevant planning units based on specific KPIs such as Processor Load e.t.c.
    • Convey all faulty devices and hardware to field support engineers (Radio, Transmission, ESS and others) and NSMC Coordinator for replacement.
    • Assist Capital Program Group Engineers, Radio Engineers, Optimization and Support personnel with troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolution of BSS network faults.
    • Ensure proper management and implementation of all network changes according to the organization process and procedures.
    • Provide regular updates on MTNN performance and other network issues to all the stake holders (management, escalation unit, sales and distribution, customer relations, marketing and other relevant departments in the organization).
    • Ensure NSMC Shift Hand-Over procedure is strictly adhered to.
