    Senior Processing Geophysics Supervisor

    As part of the Geophysics Operations Team based in Lagos,

    The Senior Processing Supervisor with at least 15 years hands-on experience in 3D seismic processing and imaging shall manage seismic processing and imaging projects on behalf of Nigeria for their operated assets onshore and offshore. Data to be processed include conventional 3D land, 3D and 4D Streamer Marin, and Ocean Bottom Seismic (OBC, OBN) datasets.

    The successful candidate shall manage all phases of a processing project, from the scope of work definition to the QC and archiving of the final deliverables.

    The tasks to be performed by the Senior Processing Supervisor shall include, but are not limited to, the following:
    -Definition of the processing project objectives, scope of work, technical specifications and processing sequences, in close collaboration with TEPNG assets and GSR Operations Geophysicists and with the processing Contractor,
    Important note: Close collaboration with the interpretation teams and the assets, before, during and after the processing projects is essential to ensure key objectives are well understood and met by the processing Contractor.
    -Advise Company on the various technical choices and suggest the best contractor for a given project,
    -If required, demonstrate the technical choices to Company,
    -Negotiate costs / lead times, technical specifications and scope of work with the processing Contractor,
    -Establish with the processing Contractor a timetable for the processing project and, where applicable, agree on deadlines for intermediate and final datasets delivery,
    -Ensure that the processing personnel assigned by the Contractor to the project have the required experience and knowledge of the area to enable them to produce an excellent final result,
    -Perform daily follow-up of projects assigned to him/her and report back to Company,
    -Supervise processing parameter tests and recommend optimum processing flows,
    -Find the in-house technical support whenever needed to follow-through a project (specialists, experts, etc.),
    -Close follow up of the invoicing and management of the budget assigned to the projects.
    -Ensure the level of feed-back to Company management, their partners, and the government is sufficient to ensure the smooth running of the project,
    -Upon completion of projects, ensure processing Contractor produces the required deliverables. All deliverables to be thoroughly checked by the Senior Seismic Processing Supervisor using in-house procedures and tools before archiving,
    -Ensure processing Contractor provides high quality report, giving input where necessary including summary/conclusion section and a recommendation section,
    -Participate in processing Contractor performance evaluation,
    -Provide OJT to junior supervisors.

    Production Technologist Team Lead

    Spencer Ogden are workign with one of Nigeria's leading producers on a position that is unique within the industry- A solid background in Production Technology would be beneficial for this role - A fantastic salary and package is on offer along with great long term incentives and career progression.     The initial primary function of this role with be to act a 'bridging' technical expert between the Reservoir Management and Well Engineering departments of the business. It will then develop into a function whereby the applicant will be an integral part of all technical projects within the business, essentially leading many integrated teams from inception to completion.

    The successful applicant will require:

    Degree in Engineering or Science discipline, preferably with an MSc in Petroleum Engineering
    Experience in a relevant production technology and operational role, preferably with an operating oil company, major service company or consultancy
    Excellent communication and reporting skills with focused project management skills for project delivery
    Strong analytical problem solving skills for technical problems within a multi-disciplined environment
    Ability to work using own initiative without regular guidance or supervision.
    Experience of mentoring and assisting other engineers with a project environment desirable
    Excellent computer skills with knowledge and experience using engineering software applications such as Prosper, GAP, SAPHIR, WellCat etc. Knowledge and experience of visual basic programming as well as data-base development would be highly beneficial

    Senior Safety Engineer

    Senior Safety Engineer, 24 month contract, Home + Lagos (FPSO, HAZOP,QRA)

    Due to successful project tenders and long standing relationships with an internationally recognised operator, an established consultancy has the need for a senior safety engineer to work on one of Nigeria's largest projects.

    The successful senior safety engineer will be working predominately from home in the first few months before conducting rotations to and from Lagos.

    The role will require the senior safety engineer to:
    *Participate in HAZOP, fire and explosion modelling, QRA and ensuring correct implementation of safety in design (SID).
    *Provide safety expertise during FEED and detail design engineering EPC and ensure that safety related inputs/requirements are fully incorporated in the design and in production operations.
    As such, the successful senior safety engineer will possess:
    *Proven experience in working as a Safety Engineer during FEED and Detailed Design of offshore oil and gas processing facilities, preferably with some experience of FPSO/floating facilities
    *Expertise in safety engineering tools and techniques such as: SID, HAZID, HAZAN, HAZOP, Process Hazards and Safety Assessment, Risk Assessment, fire and explosion analysis, FMEA, QRA, ergonomics etc.
    *Risk and Safety Studies: - Fire and Explosion Risk Analysis (FERA), Offshore Quantitative and Qualitative Risk Assessment Studies (QRA), Consequence Modelling, Emergency System Survivability Analysis (ESSA), Topside and Pipeline Dropped Object Studies, Consequence based Layout Optimisation Reviews, Escape Evacuation and Rescue Analysis (EERA), Subsea Design Safety studies, Subsea Isolation Valves Cost Benefit Analysis , Safety Critical Elements (SCEs) and Performance Standards, Bow-Tie Analysis, Design and Operational HSE Case.
    *Codes and Standards Review: Well versed with Oil and Gas Operating Company Standards and familiarization with International Oil and Gas Standards such as API, NFPA, IP, NORSOK, CAP437 Guidelines, SOLAS and etc.
    *Process Safety and Loss Prevention Design - Preparation of Safety Philosophy/ Concept, Hazardous Area Classification Drawings and Schedule, Escape Route and Safety Equipment Layouts, Fire and Gas Layouts, Cause and Effect Matrix, Specification for Safety and Fire Fighting Equipment, Firewater Demand/ Hydraulic Calculations, Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE),Vendor Data Review (VDR), etc.
