Job Description
Essential duties and responsibilities:

•     In conjunction with the QAQC Unit, reviews and approves operational instructions for adequate job inspection operations; determines appropriate documentation for operational processes and inspection.
•     Assists and/or conducts quality control reviews at client project sites.
•     Verifies and maintains quality control records.
•     Supports personnel to assure effective and competent performance of quality function.
•     Participates in the review of all project design, implementation and test documentation to assure conformance to quality control standards. This can include review of drawings, specification sheets, application procedures, testing and inspection standards, vendor inspections and customer contract specifications.
•     Carries out assigned work projects; Conversant with relevant work techniques and legislation
•     Attends scheduled meetings i.e. safety orientations and meetings; team briefing meetings and assures that established policies and procedures are followed.
•     Preparing and writing of project reports
•     Assists in tagging and quarantine procedures for rejection of in-process, finished projects and inspection projects. Authorizes rework, scrap or return to vendor decisions; consults and reviews with QA/QC Team as necessary.
•     Prepares and reviews compliant (quality) trends.
•     Reports serious or repeated failures or unreliability in quality of products.
•     Inspect and analyze existing coating application machinery/equipment, coating material specifications to verify equipment application feasibility for submission to
•     the operations department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•     Serves as liaison between RusselSmith and certification bodies
•     Ensures the technical capability of operational personnel and managing technical risks.
•     Assist with technical presentations and communiqué to company clients
•     Conducts surveys on client sites as well as prepares detailed report in the approved standard template. Plans work scopes required for surveying prior to project mobilization.
•     Oversees and ensures the compliance to regulatory standards the company subscribes to
•     Ensures the certifications (i.e. API, IRATA, DNV, ASNT etc) of the company are up to date and valid
•     Manages technical resources within budget and project schedule.
•     Serves as an advisory on the implementation of coating application processes and non-destructive inspections.
•     Quality control—demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors team and company work to ensure quality.
•     Safety and security—actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly.
•     Client Management- Manages client interaction and expectations and develops lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client ties.

•     Intensive experience in fabrication and mainly in the piping, Vessels, Structural Steel etc.
•     Knowledge and experience in all QC related activities in Piping, welding, related Piping fabrication, Equipment, Tanks, Painting, Fireproofing & Insulation, Verification of Piping and Test packages.
•     Read and interpret the various drawings used in the projects for executing the work.
•     Knowledge in preparation of test package and inspection test plan and QC procedures.
•     To perform NDT as per job requirement as per request received from QC Inspectors.
•     To evaluate and interpret the NDT results with respect to applicable Codes, standards, specifications and approved company procedures.
•     To prepare NDT reports and certify the results.
•     To demonstrate each NDT techniques to QC Engineers and Authorized Inspectors prior to perform on the job.
•     To prepare reports for the demonstration of Techniques.
•     To maintain the NDT equipment and instruments in good condition.
•     To estimate the NDT consumables required for the type of work and to prepare request to purchase the consumables.
•     To perform periodic verification of the calibration as per Code requirements.
•     To coordinate with NDT subcontractor for other NDT requirements.
•     Performs Nondestructive testing techniques and methods in accordance with the clients’ needs depending on the type of inspection required.
•     Responsible for executing the tests using the procedures and methods to determine maximum quality of the product.
•     Responsible for inspecting duties, organizes and generates reports pertaining to inspection and evaluation.
•     Expected to prepare reports on all testing and evaluations done.
•     Responsible for ensuring that the equipments used for testing are all functioning to its maximum and according to safety regulations.
•     Responsible for endorsing the equipments to repair.
