Responsibilities

• Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
• Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
• Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
• Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
• Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
• Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
• Prepare annual budget
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
• Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
• Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
• Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc)
• Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided

Requirements and skills

• BSc/ HND degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration
• 3-5 years work experience as a Warehouse Manager
• Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
• Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
• Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
• Leadership skills and ability manage staff
• Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills

Job description:

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards.
• Ensure all financial records and reports are accurate and submitted on time.
• Stay updated with changes in IFRS and implement necessary updates to reporting processes.

General Accounting and Reconciliation:

• Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data for accuracy and adherence to policies.

Audit and Internal Controls:

• Coordinate external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
• Address audit findings and implement recommendations.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
• Analyze variances between actual results and budgets, and provide insights for improvement.

Team Leadership and Training:

• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering professional growth.
• Provide training on IFRS standards and updates to the accounting team.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless financial operations.
• Present financial reports and insights to senior management for decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A master’s degree is a plus.

Professional Certification:

• Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role withing the manufacturing space.
• Proven experience with IFRS standards.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in accounting software (preferably ODOO)
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and audit processes.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
• Leadership abilities to manage and mentor teams effectively.
