Job Description

• The Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the maintenance and repair of the mechanical system and machinery in our recycling operations.
• This role requires expertise in recycling and production processes to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of our production facilities.
• Also entails facilities maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment like forklifts, vehicles
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering within the recycling industry.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in using maintenance management software and tools.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate the overall strategy of the purchasing department, formulate purchasing plan and budget, and optimise the supplier resource pool.
• Performing all procurement activities including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, preparation of contracts and tender management
• Leading bulk purchase negotiation,, ensuring supply chain stability and cost control.
• Delegating tasks and supervising the work of Purchasing
• Identifying emerging markets to find new opportunities
• Document and report on daily operations and production metrics
• Supervise the operation of the business team and dispatching team (customer maintenance, procurement negotiation, fleet dispatching).

Requirements

• Must be a B.Sc / HND holder in Purchasing/Supply, Marketing or any Mining related courses
• Must have a cognate experience in procurement (at least 5 years)
• Must have worked or have experience in a mining firm
• Must be a computer literate
