Job Summary:

• The Van Sales Representative is responsible for driving direct sales through efficient van distribution.
• They visit assigned routes tpromote, sell, and deliver products while maintaining excellent customer relationships and ensuring proper merchandising and stock management. 

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Distribution

• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
• Deliver and distribute products tcustomers in assigned routes. Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the territory.

Customer Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers.
• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.

Merchandising

• Ensure proper product display and visibility in customer outlets.
• Replenish shelves and maintain agreed planograms.

Inventory Management

• Manage van stock levels accurately and conduct daily inventory reconciliations.
• Ensure the FIF(First In, First Out) method is applied tavoid product expiry issues.

Cash Handling & Reporting

• Collect payments and issue receipts for cash and credit transactions.
• Submit daily sales reports, including sales volume, customer feedback, and competitor activity.

Market Intelligence

• Monitor competitor activities and provide feedback on pricing, promotions, and new products.
• Provide suggestions tthe management team on potential improvements or new product launches.

Compliance & Safety

• Adhere tcompany policies, especially regarding safety, security, and vehicle management.
• Maintain the van in good working condition and ensure timely servicing. 

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: HD, diploma or HND (Bachelor’s degree is a plus).
• Experience: 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG or related industries.

Skills:

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Good numerical and reporting skills. Basic knowledge of merchandising and distribution.
• Valid driver’s license. 
• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
• Sales volume and revenue achievement.
• Customer satisfaction and retention rate.
• Accuracy of inventory and cash reconciliation.
• Route coverage and market expansion.

 Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all expected activities as stipulated in the control checklists are performed by the branch management
• Ensure branch staff comply with Internal Code of Conducts; Policy/Procedure and Regulations on transactions initiated by the bank.
• Educate and train staff on compliance issues, and acting as the contact point within the branch for compliance queries from staff members
• Create and improve homogenous Compliance Culture in the assigned branch that aligns with control and business objectives of the Bank
• Build strong KYC and KYCB compliance environment in the assigned branch i.e. ensure capturing of all valid KYC documentation into all customers’ accounts in the Core Banking Applications through the regular review of Account opening and documentation both on client files and on the system.
• Carry out unannounced field visit to clients’ business locations before or after loan approval as the case may be.
• Ensure integrity of the transactions and GL accounts in the branch through daily review of the branches GL balance reports. Any major deviation from the standard must be escalated.
• Institute and enforce aggressive Cost Reduction Strategies/Tactics for the branch under your purview to ensure zero% income wastage
• Ensure prompt resolution of all recommendations in the Internal Audit Report, Regulatory Examiners Report and other Statutory Examiners Report involving the branch under your purview.
• Ensure daily Call Over of all tills transactions (which include but not limited to deposit/withdrawal slips, Cheque slips, Internal fund transfers) within 24 hours of posting and where practicable online same day and as may be advised to you from time to time
• Daily Review of all System Generated Override Message/Exception Reports to ensure that appropriate approvals were obtained for it and that they are valid transactions
• Daily review of ATM Card and Pin Management or any other related reviews to ensure any irregularities are discovered and escalated promptly.
• Conduct Special Investigation as may be directed by the Risk & Compliance Officer.
• Conduct spot checks, stock taking and other functions as may be assigned from time to time.
• Ensure prompt and qualitative rendition of relevant returns and reports as may be required by the Risk and Compliance Manager which will include among others; critical control issues report, unusual incidence report, report on assets ageing in standard approved format etc.
• Any other job that may be assigned by the Chief, Risk & Compliance Officer

Job Qualification & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in business, accounting, finance, economics or related area of study.
• Minimum of 3yrs of experience in e-banking operations, internal control, or transaction monitoring.
• Direct experience in audit and internal control in banking sector is mandatory.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, ACA, ACCA, or CBN-related certifications are an advantage.
• Possession of extensive experience in auditing, and a thorough understanding of Microfinance Banking and accounting practices.
