    Technical Sales Manager (Auto-Finish Paints)

    Job Description

    • The Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for managing sales of the companys products and services in defined geographical areas by ensuring consistent, profitable growth in sales revenue through planning, deployment and management of sales personnel.
    • Also, S/he will assist the Business Head / Business Director in setting up long term strategy for the Business in Nigeria.
    • The ideal candidate for this role must have experience in studying different markets, opportunities in selected territory, competition and activities within a particular range or segment. S/he must be highly skilled at managing teams with a proven track record of achieving sales targets as an individual and a team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the sales team providing guidance, encouraging team work and facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.
    • Monitor various projects progress, identify new project opportunities and share regular updates across cross functional teams.
    • Ensure sales targets are achieved as per assigned product and region/key accounts through managing the effective sales strategy and follow-up to ensure accomplishment of sales operational plans.
    • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
    • Prepare and recommend sales budget and monitor financial performance verses the budget to ensure business alignment.
    • Monitor stock inventories in alignment with the budget and re-order level for product as well as packaging.
    • Focus actively on Key Accounts and seek support from various functional team/management where appropriate to ensure prompt solution to their satisfaction.
    • Build accurate and detailed profiling for the key accounts to explore new business opportunities.
    • Assess the various information tools, identify business opportunities, scope of new product development and pinpoint bottleneck areas i.e. market threats, competitors initiatives etc. to further increase sales volume, market share and profitability.
    • Develop dealer network in each state as per assigned territory/region and promote them for higher coverage in the assigned state.
    • Deal with customer grievances and follow-up with technical team for resolution and various customer trials analysis and support.
    • Coordinate with internal and external parties at the appropriate levels to ensure smooth flow of interaction and transaction.
    • Develop good customer base, manager customer relations, facilitate business managers/sales head to organize various business meets/seminars to boost customer intimacy.
    • Manage to effective communication by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff, providing formal and informal feedback on performance and training needs - in order to maximize subordinate and department performance.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant field. Msc/MBA will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 10 years of working experience in sales of Auto Refinish Paints and providing technical service to the Body Shop or Furniture Industry.
    • Proven experience in B2B and B2C Marketing with track records of setting and achieving sales targets.
    • Excellent team player with experience in managing a team of a minimum of 4 people.
    • Good knowledge about the Auto Refinish coatings with their specifications, applications, etc.
    • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.

    • Detail & Result Oriented
    • Discrete and diplomatic, with a strong ability to manage confidentiality.
    • Very comfortable using various video conferencing tools and the typical tools of the MS Office.

    Senior Sales Executive โ€“ (Decorative Paint)

    Job Objectives: 

    • This role will be charged with the responsibility to develop sales plan and sales strategy for market that ensures attainment of company sales, goals and profitability in consultation with Sales Head / General Manager.
    • The role manages sale of the companys products and services in defined geographical areas.
    • To ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales revenue through planning, deployment and management of sales personnel.
    • To develop customer relationship and intimacy.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Sales Strategy - Prepare sales plan with a road map to achieve planned business objective through identification and tapping new business opportunities; with profit responsibility.
    • Manage the implementation of all the relevant applicable SOPs. To ensure business transactions are executed as per given prices and policies.
    • Explore new business opportunities and ventures for business growth.
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of sales region gathering information, share inputs, encouraging team work and facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.
    • Make regular customer visit for sales development and facilitate customers for various projects and probabilities to boost sales.
    • Develop dealer network in each state as per assigned territory/region and promote them for higher coverage in the assigned state.
    • Performs sales activities for various customers in close coordination with Sales/Product Manager.
    • Develop new customer base and sustain existing business by periodic customer meeting, conducting various customer trials and managing effective customer intimacy.
    • Focus actively on Key Accounts and seek support from various functional team/management where appropriate to ensure prompt solution to their satisfaction.
    • Projects tracking on a continuous basis to judge the market potential for key products and striving to widen the customer base through extensive research.
    • Build accurate and detailed profiling for the key accounts to explore new business opportunities.
    • Ensure Sales Targets are achieved as per assigned product and region/key accounts wise through managing the effective sales strategy and follow-up to ensure accomplishment of sales operational plans.
    • Prepare and recommend sales budget and monitor financial performance verses the budget to ensure business alignment.
    • Prepare all applicable reports in time for accuracy and in order to ensure that they match the functional requirements, policies and standards.
    • Perform other related duties or assignment as and when assigned.

    Requirements

    • Candidate with chemistry / chemical / paint technology background.
    • Candidate with minimum 4+ years of experience in selling decorative paint / paint chemicals / construction chemicals or other industrial products.
    • Excessive travelling is required in and around Nigeria/West Africa.
    • As per the need of the business the job is transferrable and posting can be made anywhere in Nigeria/West Africa.
