    Team Lead, Investor Relations

    Responsibilities

    • Participate in the formulation of UBA’s investor relations policies, objectives & initiatives.
    • Participate in the bank’s drive to attract more investments from identified target groups.
    • Contribute to the development of an active relationship with existing and potential investors and external investment analysis (both buy and sell side).
    • Manage reporting calendar, including road shows, meetings, results announcements and conference calls.
    • Organize meetings with independent shareholder associations in preparation for annual general meetings (AGM).
    • Monitor Nigeria and international press for accuracy of reporting investors relations issues & internal dissemination as appropriate.
    • Responsible for ensuring the timely production of quality annual reports and other internal reports (including monthly departmental reports, quarterly board report, company fact sheet etc.).
    • Liaise with UBA registrars to ensure needs of retail shareholders are being effectively dealt with.

    Qualifications

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in any financial related discipline, preferably also have completed CFA, similar financial markets qualification.

    Team Member, Credit Audit

    Job Objective(s)

    • To provide an independent assessment of the Credit Risk Management process of the bank with the aim of ascertaining and reporting on the extent of compliance with; the credit philosophy, credit planning process, credit approval and management system, responsibility and disciplinary processes.

    Team Member, Middleware Management

    Job Objective(s)

    • To provide technical support to middleware applications such as IBM ESB, IBM ACE etc. related to the design and functionality of ESB and monitor middleware systems as well as ensure high availability and 100% uptime.

    Responsibilities

    • Check and treat all logs/email escalations within the SLA i.e. issue resolution, enquiries, complaints and re-routing to responsible units where applicable.

    Team Member, Head Office Audit

    Job Objective(s)

    • Build strong audit and compliance environment and ensure zero level fraud, zero infraction to policies, improved value for money and provide compliance counselling, advisory and decision support services to business units and audit function in the country.

    Team Member, Financial Reporting

    Job Objectives

    • To ensure timely and accurate reporting of bank and group financial performance and position as well as production of forward-looking financial statements, with transparent and adequate disclosures in line with IFRS and to implement the visions of financial control in UBA.

    Responsibilities

    • Preparation of accounting entries into the GL for PPE transfers, disposals and additions.
    • Drive timely submission of proofs of WIP accounts (including BP accounts), as well as their age analyses.
    • Preparation of detailed disposal schedule for intangible assets to agree with the intangible assets movement schedule and register as well as the GL Quarterly preparation of movement schedules for list of other assets' accounts and provision as assigned under proofs of accounts.
    • Test other assets as assigned for impairment and where impaired, raise impairment entries.

    Team Member, IT Audit

    Job Objective(s)

    • To implement the Bank and audit division’s mandate relating to review and assessment of controls over the information systems, safeguard the Bank’s assets, ensure the completeness and accuracy of transaction records; and prevent/detect incidences of related frauds and irregularities.

    • Design audit work plan for Preliminary internal control review to determine the strength of the Internal Control
    • Assist in the development and revision/update of the annual IT audit strategy and work plan in conjunction with the Head, Corporate Audit and Compliance
    • Participate and supervise the process reviews/redesigns as well as systems upgrade/implementation efforts to ensure that appropriate system controls considerations are effectively taken on board and implemented
    • Monitor adequacy of security and control built into the bank’s IT architecture
    • Ensure periodic Review of actual expense against budgets and resolve expense mis-alignment
    • Review the procurement process of e-banking infrastructure to ensure that they are in line with procurement policy of the bank.
    • Review and ensure clear roles, responsibilities, segregation of duties and succession planning for the various levels of IT & e-banking staff.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Engineering / Accounting or any other numerate discipline.
    • Relevant professional certification e.g. CISA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CISSP and MBA etc will be an added advantage.
    • 3  - 5 years of related experience.

    Team Lead, Finacle Application Support

    Job Objective(s)

    • To provide 24by7by365 access, provide functional support and configuration management of the bank’s core banking application (Finacle) in line with Business Service Level Agreements (SLA).
