    Senior Shutdown Planner

    For a Major IOC, we are looking for a Senior Shutdown Planner to lead the planning and optimization of critical turnaround and shutdown activities.

    Role Objective

    To deliver integrated, reliable and optimized shutdown planning ensuring:

    • safe execution of all activities
    • adherence to schedule commitments
    • control of project costs
    • efficient utilization of resources (workforce & materials)

    Key Responsibilities:

    HSE & Risk Management

    • Integrate HSE requirements into all planning activities
    • Contribute to risk assessments (HAZID, SIMOPS, etc.)
    • Anticipate and mitigate risks related to co-activities and operational constraints
    • Ensure compliance with Oil & Gas standards and company procedures

    Planning & Scheduling

    • Develop and maintain detailed schedules using Primavera P6 (mandatory)
    • Build structured schedules (WBS, logic, constraints, dependencies)
    • Identify and manage the Critical Path
    • Ensure overall schedule integrity across multiple disciplines

    Advanced Planning & Optimization

    • Analyze and optimize POB (Peak of Workforce) to ensure balanced resource allocation
    • Identify and resolve schedule clashes (SIMOPS conflicts, technical interferences, access constraints)
    • Perform what-if scenario analysis and resource leveling
    • Optimize execution sequences to reduce downtime and operational risks

    Coordination & Interfaces

    • Interface with key stakeholders such as Maintenance, Operations, HSE, Engineering, Contractors
    • Participate in and lead pre-shutdown planning and review meetings
    • Ensure alignment across all disciplines and stakeholders

    Profile

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial environments
    • Proven experience in shutdown / turnaround planning
    • Strong background in Oil & Gas or heavy industry
    • Experience in complex, multi-disciplinary project environments
    • Strong leadership and coordination skills
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
    • Ability to perform under pressure in critical environments

    Shutdown Valves Specialist

    The role is to ensure the preparation, coordination, and follow-up of valves maintenance activities during shutdowns and maintenance operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Work Preparation

    Identify and analyze the scope of valves to be handled

    Prepare detailed work packs, including:

    • work procedures
    • method statements
    • spare parts requirements
    • specific tools and equipment
    • Define required resources (workforce, skills, equipment)

    Valve Scope Management

    Manage different types of valves:

    • manual valves
    • otor-operated valves (MOV)
    • Safety valves (PSV, ESD valves)
    • Planning & Coordination: Work closely with shutdown planning team
    • Integrate valve activities into the overall shutdown schedule

    HSE, Risk & Lifting

    • Integrate HSE requirements into all preparation activities
    • Identify risks related to valve interventions (pressure, fluids, gas exposure)
    • Define appropriate mitigation measures

    Integrate lifting activities into work packs:

    • load identification
    • selection of lifting equipment
    • coordination with lifting teams
    • Ensure compliance with lifting and safety standards

    Execution Support & Follow-up

    • Provide technical support during execution
    • Manage field deviations and update work packs when required
    • Monitor progress of valve activities
    • Participate in lessons learned and feedback processes

    Profile

    • 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance
    • Proven experience in valve maintenance
    • Experience in shutdown / Oil & Gas environment
    • Ability to read technical documentation:
      • P&IDs
      • isometric drawings
      • datasheets
    • Solid understanding of lifting operations (lifting & rigging):
      • basic lifting plan interpretation
      • risk identification
      • coordination with lifting teams
