Meeting loan applicants to obtain personal and financial information, describing the types and terms of loans to applicants, verify applicants’ credit scores and incomes, evaluating applicants’ financial circumstances to determine if the applicant qualifies for a loan and approving or denying loan applications. This position will also involve direct telephone and outdoor sales.
Examine the financial statements and other credit-related information of businesses to assess the risk involved in lending money. Determine for a potential partnership or buy-out, or research regarding the issue of new bonds.
Meeting leasing applicants (corporate and individual) to generate lease business for the company.
Core Duties
Meet with applicants to obtain information for credit and leasing applications and to answer questions about the process.
Analyze applicants’ financial status, credit and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
Obtain and compile copies of loan/lease applicants’ credit histories, corporate financial statements and other financial information.
Review and update credit and leasing files.
Review loan agreements to ensure that they are complete and accurate according to policy.
Compute payment schedules.
Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products in order to better meet customers’ needs.
Handle Customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them.
Work with Clients to identify their financial goals and to find ways of reaching those goals.
Negotiate payment arrangement with customers who have delinquent loans.
Market company products to individuals and firms, promoting Company services that may meet customers’ needs.
Provide special services such as investment banking for clients with more specialized needs.
Analyze potential loan/lease markets and develop referral networks in order to locate prospects for loans.
Prepare reports to send to customers whose accounts are delinquent, and forward irreconcilable accounts for Collector action.
Handling of insurance and registration/renewal on lease assets.
Marketing all of the products of the Company to corporate organizations and individuals.
Qualifications
University Degree, or HND Holder or its equivalent
Degree in Accountancy is an added advantage
Certifications added advantage.
3 years hands-on experience required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
Have a flexible approach and the ability to make decisions quickly.

Cross-sell all the financial products of the Group: - Liability generation, Loans and Leases, Shares/Stocks/Bonds (Federal, State & Corporate), Treasury Bills, FGN Savings Bonds, FX etc.
Formulate and implement a strategy to increase the pool of HNIs the Group transacts with
Pitch for business relationships with Local Corporates, PFA’s, Insurance companies, and other non-Financial Institutions (Institutional Sales & Marketing) etc.
Manage key relationships with customers to ensure the smooth running of these accounts.
Oversee, Supervise and Coordinate an effective online marketing strategy.
Development and implementation of service improvement strategies.
Attain targeted sales goals, performance targets and customer satisfaction through the effective management of resources.
Together with Business Heads, review strategies for all networked customers with a view to enhancing business volumes and earnings.
Implement marketing strategies to develop an existing portfolio and develop new opportunities.
Understand customer needs and provide products and services to satisfy client’s needs and achieve business objectives.
Prepare and agree with the line Manager on a call planning in order to maximize returns in line with business strategy.
Provide clients with Investment Advisory services.
Develop an executive contact plan and arrange meetings between proposed clients, the head of unit, and the MD.
Qualifications
Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or other disciplines
A second degree and Master’s degree will be an advantage
A professional qualification is desirable
Minimum of 5+ years hands-on experience with a good sales track record in Institutional sales with an emphasis on Stockbroking, Capital Market, and other Financial Instruments (Treasury bills, Bonds, etc.).
