Overall Purpose of Job

• Ensure the compilation of bids, collection of projects data and the planning, analysis and management of projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the preparation of bids/proposals.
• Reviews ALL tender documents and supervises compilation of materials required for bids.
• Ensures the preparation of pre-qualification bids with standard company information.
• Puts together technical bids.
• Consolidates and compiles commercial bids.
• Ensures the electronic control of documents.
• Ensures a copy of each bid quotation is submitted on time and placed on file.
• Develops work plans and proposals for effective projects management.
• Enforces project deadlines and schedules.
• Managing project cost.
• Consistently applies project standards.
• Ensures multiple tasks are prioritized effectively.
• Overseas the implementation of the full components of fiscally running a project successfully.
• Ensures the documentation and analysis of required information data.
• Ensures that project outcomes are achieved.
• Oversees the resourcing of projects.
• Oversees the collation of project documents e.g progress and highlight reports, incident reports, etc.

Person Specification

• A good University Degree
• Minimum of 5 years’ cognate experience in a similar/relevant role
• Must have an eye for details and be meticulous
• Must have managed large projects
• Sound knowledge of MS Project/ Primavera/other relevant project management tools

Job Description

• Maintains computing environment by identifying system requirements; installing upgrades; monitoring system performance, trouble shooting, maintaining SAP.

Duties

• Establishes system specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing system infrastructure.
• Establishes system by planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of PC and server hardware, software, LAN and WAN networks, and operating and system management systems, defining system and operational policies and procedures.
• Maintains system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks and operating and system management systems; designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to vendor.
• Secures system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation.
• Prepares users by designing and conducting training programs, providing references and support.
• Upgrades system by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new software.
• Meets financial requirements by submitting information for budgets, monitoring expenses.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

Skills / Qualifications

• System Administration, Developing Standards, LAN Knowledge, Proxy Servers, Training, Multi-tasking, On-Call, Networking Knowledge, Network Hardware Configuration, Network Maintenance, Network Performance Tuning.
• Hands-on experience in maintaining SAP, LAN, WAN, Thin Clients, Printers, Outlook, MS Office etc.
• Candidates should possess a B.Sc. /HND in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Must have 3-5 years cognate experience as an IT ENGINEER/OFFICER.

Professional qualifications:

• CCNA, COMPTIA A+, N+ and MCSA
