The Security Guard will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the CASCADE Project office, personnel, and assets.
This position plays a key role in maintaining a secure environment that enables the successful implementation of nutrition-focused activities in Jigawa and Kebbi States.
Responsibilities
Monitor and control access to the office premises
Conduct routine patrols and security inspections
Maintain a visitor log and verify identification
Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies
Liaise with local security agencies when necessary
Safeguard vehicles, equipment, and other project assets
Support staff safety during field visits and community engagements
Report suspicious activities or breaches of security protocols
Requirements
Minimum of SSCE or equivalent; security training certification is an advantage
Previous experience in a security role, preferably with NGOs or development projects
Familiarity with basic security procedures and emergency response
Ability to remain calm and act decisively under pressure
Good communication skills in English and local languages
The Office Assistant will support the smooth functioning of the CASCADE Project office by handling basic administrative tasks, maintaining a clean and organised workspace, and assisting with logistics.
This role is essential to ensuring a productive environment for project staff working to improve nutrition outcomes for women and children.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the office premises
Assist with photocopying, scanning, filing, and document handling
Support logistics for meetings, trainings, and field activities
Manage office supplies and track inventory
Run errands, including banking, deliveries, and procurement pickups
Provide hospitality support for visitors and events
Assist staff with minor clerical tasks as needed
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum SSCE or equivalent
Prior experience in a similar role preferred
Good organisational and time management skills
Basic knowledge of office equipment
Ability to communicate effectively in English and local languages
Reliable, respectful, and punctual
