    Quality Control Technician

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a detail-oriented QC Technician to join the Quality Control team.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory and field tests on concrete and construction materials to ensure compliance with Cemmax's quality standards.
    • This role supports quality assurance by performing accurate testing, maintaining laboratory equipment, documenting results, and ensuring all materials meet required specifications.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct concrete slump tests and accurately record test results.
    • Collect and prepare concrete samples for laboratory testing.
    • Perform compressive strength tests on concrete cubes at the required curing intervals.
    • Conduct aggregate testing, including sieve analysis and moisture content determination.
    • Communicate test results to the batching team to support production and mix adjustments.
    • Maintain the laboratory, curing tanks, and testing equipment in a clean, safe, and operational condition.
    • Inspect testing equipment regularly and report any faults or maintenance requirements.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date laboratory records, test reports, and quality documentation.
    • Ensure all testing activities comply with company quality standards, testing procedures, and industry regulations.
    • Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and consistently use the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Candidates should possess a National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Materials Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years' experience in concrete quality control, laboratory testing, or construction materials testing.
    • Experience in a ready-mix concrete or construction materials laboratory will be an added advantage.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Sound knowledge of concrete and construction materials testing procedures.
    • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.
    • Good documentation and record-keeping abilities.
    • Ability to interpret and communicate test results accurately.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is an added advantage.

    Cement Mixer Truck Driver

    Job Summary

    • We are looking for a careful and reliable Cement Mixer Truck Driver to deliver ready‑mix cement to construction sites.
    • The job involves safe driving, keeping the cement drum turning during transport, following road and site safety rules, and making sure deliveries are done on time.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Drive cement mixer trucks safely and follow traffic rules
    • Check the truck daily (tyres, brakes, lights, drum, water system) before use
    • Keep the drum turning while driving to maintain cement quality
    • Confirm load details before leaving the plant
    • Work with site foremen to discharge cement properly
    • Wash the drum after each delivery
    • Report any truck problems or safety issues immediately
    • Keep the truck clean and professional at all times
    • Record details of each delivery (volume, time, site).

    Requirements

    • WAEC / NECO certificate
    • Valid Nigerian driver’s licence (Class C or above)
    • Defensive Driving Certificate
    • At least 1 year experience driving mixer trucks or other heavy vehicles
    • Experience in cement/concrete delivery is an advantage
    • Physically fit and able to work on construction sites.

    Dispatch & Delivery Coordinator

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Dispatch & Delivery Coordinator to oversee the end-to-end coordination of concrete deliveries for our client, Cemmax.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily dispatch operations; coordinating with Sales, Production, Quality Control, and Transport teams; ensuring timely deliveries; maintaining accurate documentation; and serving as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the delivery process.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Receive and coordinate confirmed customer orders from the sales team.
    • Develop and manage the daily delivery schedule based on production capacity and fleet availability.
    • Update delivery schedules in response to order changes, delays, or cancellations.
    • Confirm mix design readiness with the Quality Control team before dispatch.
    • Coordinate truck loading and dispatch activities to ensure timely deliveries.
    • Brief drivers on delivery schedules, customer locations, safety requirements, and special instructions.
    • Monitor truck movements, delivery progress, and turnaround times.
    • Coordinate replacement loads where quality or operational issues arise.
    • Communicate with customers to confirm delivery schedules and site readiness.
    • Monitor deliveries from dispatch through pour completion.
    • Resolve delivery-related issues and provide timely updates to clients.
    • Escalate critical delivery, quality, or operational concerns to management.
    • Serve as the primary contact for delivery-related enquiries.
    • Maintain strong relationships with clients through proactive communication.
    • Capture customer feedback and communicate improvement opportunities to the Sales and Operations teams.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, civil engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in dispatch coordination, logistics, fleet operations, or delivery management.
    • Experience in the ready-mix concrete, construction, manufacturing, or logistics industry is highly desirable.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong knowledge of dispatch, logistics, and delivery operations.
    • Excellent planning, scheduling, and coordination skills.
    • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
    • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and under pressure.
