    Senior Airport Services Agent

    About the Role

    • We are recruiting for an Senior Airport Services Agent based in Lagos, Nigeria
    • The successful applicant will be responsible for providing quality service to passengers in respect to check-in, boarding, special services, lounges, and baggage services as per QR’s commercial and safety standards and procedures ensuring passengers and their baggage are handled  in a consistent manner.

    Your Specific Responsibilities

    • Constant liaison with Check-in, transfer desk, and other related areas for the smooth acceptance of passenger.
    • Liaises with check-in, transfer desk, and support Airport Services Supervisor in all areas.
    • Escort and direct Arriving/departing passengers to the respective areas such as hotel desk, visa counter, transfer desk, premium lounges and boarding fates etc.
    • Assist duty officer to handle company material and records.
    • Liaison with GHA for quick processing of hotel and transfer passengers.
    • Work with GHA and ensure smooth passenger handling.
    • Assist passengers in regards to entry requirements, visas, residence permits etc.
    • Ensure passengers are assisted smoothly through airport facilities.
    • Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purposes of ensuring the efficient and effective function of the work unit.

    Qualifications
    The successful candidate will have:

    • Trade or Vocational qualification
    • Minimum of 3 years of job-related experience required with at least 1 year of relevant experience in Airport Operations of a leading airline.
    • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English language.
    • High energy and positive attitude are necessary to perform well in this very high pressured and demanding environment.
    • DCS experience and knowledge of ticketing is an advantage for this job
    • Able to manage mishandled baggage services, including service recovery situations with customers.
    • Ideally completed courses in Passenger Handling and Customer Services
    • High level of computer literacy
    • Excellent customer focus and service delivery.

    Airport Services Duty Supervisor

    • We are looking for an experienced customer focused individual with previous airline supervisory experience to join our Ground Services team in Lagos, Nigeria as an Airport Services Duty Supervisor.

    Airport Services Duty Officer

    • We are recruiting for an Airport Services Duty Officer based in Lagos, Nigeria
    • In this role, you will supervise and control flight-handling activities such as flight editing, check-in, transfers and boarding, in order to ensure a high service standard.
    • You will achieve optimum customer satisfaction and on-time department of flights.  
    • You will also have overall control of the shift as a direct representative of the Airport Services Manager. 
    • You will also ensure punctuality and safety of all Qatar Airways operations.

    Specific Accountabilities Include

    • Ensuring that passenger and aircraft handling practices conform to the safety and security standards
    • Ensuring that all QR aircraft handling standards are met on a shift basis
    • Managing and controlling manpower on the shift, in order to optimize utilization and to maintain staff morale and discipline
    • Ensuring proper allocation of manpower and resources in the airport operations
    • Completing checks to ensure adequate standards are maintained
    • Resolving customer problems and complaints while on duty and working with all departments including Customer Relations to provide resolutions for complaint handling
    • Facilitating ramp handling activities in liaison with GHA, Caterers, Fueling, Maintenance, Cargo, and Crew to expedite departure.
