    Provost

    Summary

    • The Provost is the Chief Executive of the College.

    Duties

    • The successful candidate would be expected to provide the required academic, administrative and professional leadership for the College in executing the broad policies laid down by the Governing Council for the achievement of the objectives for which the institution was established.
    • He/She shall foster good rapport with the relevant organs of the Federal Ministry of Education (FME), National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE), National Universities Commission (NUC) and other professional bodies and should demonstrate strong academic and administrative leadership, initiative and creativity with good human relations and positive managerial attributes.

    Qualifications

    • Candidate must possess a Ph.D Degree from a recognised University in any field of Vocational, Technical or Science Education.
    • The possession of a professional teaching qualification (minimum - Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) or post-graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), including registration with TRCN) is mandatory.
    • Candidate must have held Senior Teaching / Research and top administrative posts in a College of Education system and must not be below the rank of Chief Lecturer, with a minimum of five (5) years in a College of Education.
    • Candidate must show evidence of a good track record in result-oriented research, reaching a high national and international status in their research achievements, as evident in scholarly publications.
    • Candidate must show evidence of good conduct and character, possess a sense of discipline, dedication, drive, resourcefulness and be able to command the respect and loyalty of the members of staff and the students of the College.
    • He/She must not foster personal, social, ethnic, political, religious and other sectional interests.
    • Candidate must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher. Must have evidence of Community services at both the local and national levels.
    • Candidate must not be more than fifty-nine (59) years at the time of assumption of duty.

    Salary
    Consolidated.

    Terms of Appointment:

    • The Provost shall hold office for a single term of 5 years only.

    Bursar

    Summary

    • The Bursar is a Principal Officer and the Chief Financial Officer of the College.
    • He is responsible to the Provost for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the College.

    Duties
    Among others which the Provost or the Council may so direct, some specific duties of the Bursar include:

    • Coordinating the financial operations of the College. Establishing appropriate internal control system. Advising the Provost on financial matters.
    • Preparing periodic/annual financial reports of the College. Developing and installing an efficient accounting system.
    • Interpreting financial regulations.
    • Performing any other related duty that may be assigned from time to time by the Provost or the Council.

    Qualifications
    Applicants for the position of Bursar must possess:

    • A Master's Degree in Accountancy or Finance from a recognized institution with at least 18 years cognate experience.
    • Possession of a Doctorate Degree is an added advantage.
    • Must be a full member of a recognized Professional Accounting Body e.g ICAN/ANAN or any other recognized body.
    • Must be vast in MS Office Suite and be Information and Communication Technology (ICT) compliant.
    • The candidate must not be below the rank of Deputy Bursar.
    • Candidate must not be above the age of fifty-nine (59) years at the time of taking the appointment.
    • Evidence of attendance of a continuous Mandatory Professional Development Course is required.

    Registrar

    Summary

    • The Registrar is a Principal Officer and the Chief Administrative Officer of the College.
    • He/She is responsible to the Provost for the general administrative work and running of the College, as well as the Secretary to the Governing Council, the Management Committee, the Academic Board, and any Committee of the Council.

    Duties
    Among others which the Provost or the Council may so direct, some specific duties of the Registrar include:

    • Keeping all records of Students and Staff of the College.
    • Conduct and receive all correspondences of the Council and Management.
    • Issuing Certificate of Service, results and transcripts.
    • Perform all other related duties that may be assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications
    Candidate for the post of the Registrar must have the following requirements:

    • A Master's Degree from a recognized institution of higher learning with at least 18 years cognate experience or a Doctorate Degree in a relevant field with at least 15 years cognate experience.
    • Candidate must not be above the age of fifty-nine (59) years at the time of taking up the appointment.
    • Evidence of attendance of a continuous Mandatory Professional Development course is required.
    • Must be a full member of a recognized professional body e.g NIM/NIPM or any other recognized body.
    • Must be vast in MS Office suite and be information and Communication Technology (ICT) Compliant.
    • The candidate must not be below the rank of Deputy Registrar for a minimum of 5 years.

    College Librarian

    Summary

    • The College Librarian is a Principal Officer and shall be responsible to the Provost for the day-to-day administration of the College Library and Coordination of the Library Services in the Teaching Units of the College.

    Duties
    Among others, some specific duties of the College Librarian include:

    • Forming overall library policy, contacts and liaising with departments on book requirements.
    • Preparation of Library budget.
    • Giving professional advice on Library matters.
    • Performing any other related duty that may be assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications
    Applicants for the position of College Librarian must possess:

    • A minimum of MLS from a recognized institution of higher learning with at least 15 years cognate experience.
    • Must have relevant publications in journals and textbooks equivalent to that of a Chief Lecturer.
    • The candidate must not be below the rank of Chief Librarian.
    • Must be a full member of Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria and Nigeria Library Association.
    • Must be vast in MS Office Suite and be Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Compliant.
    • Candidate must not be above the age of fifty-nine (59) years at the time of taking the appointment.
