Job Summary:
- To own, manage, and optimize all physical assets, facilities, administrative services, and IT service delivery across CIG Motors, ensuring operational continuity, cost efficiency, compliance, and service excellence. The role is accountable for ensuring that people can work, systems function, assets are protected, and operations run without disruption.
Key Responsibilities:
Properties & Facilities Management
- Manage all company properties including offices, showrooms, warehouses, workshops, yards, and staff accommodation.
- Oversee leases, renewals, exits, documentation, landlord relationships, and handovers.
- Ensure facilities meet brand standards, health & safety requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
Asset Protection & Control
- Maintain a comprehensive asset register (buildings, fittings, generators, equipment, furniture, IT assets).
- Enforce controls to prevent loss, misuse, unauthorized access, or deterioration.
- Coordinate security services (guards, CCTV, access control) and manage incidents.
Administrative Management
- Oversee all administrative services, including:
- Front office & office support
- Stationery and office supplies
- Travel and logistics coordination
- Non-sales fleet coordination
- Office housekeeping and general admin services
- Develop and enforce admin SOPs, approval workflows, and service standards.
- Supervise admin staff and outsourced service providers.
IT Service Management (Business Ownership)
(Non-technical oversight role)
- Act as the business owner for IT service delivery.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors to ensure uptime of:
- Internet and network connectivity
- ERP / CRM access
- Email systems
- Printers, CCTV, access control systems
- Monitor IT service SLAs, incident resolution timelines, and escalations.
- Maintain IT asset registers (laptops, devices, access credentials).
- Support IT audits and access governance.
Operations & Service Continuity
- Ensure uninterrupted availability of power, water, internet, security, cleaning, and support services.
- Act as escalation point for facility, admin, or IT issues impacting operations.
- Support business continuity and emergency response planning.
Vendor & Contract Management
- Appoint, manage, and review vendors and service providers.
- Negotiate SLAs, pricing, and renewal terms.
- Track vendor performance against KPIs and enforce accountability.
Cost Control & Budget Management
- Prepare and manage properties, admin, and operations budgets.
- Track spend across rent, utilities, maintenance, security, fuel, admin, and IT services.
- Identify and implement cost optimization and savings initiatives.
Compliance, Risk & Governance
- Ensure compliance with lease terms, statutory requirements, safety standards, and internal policies.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation plans.
Projects & Expansion Support
- Support new site acquisition, fit-outs, relocations, and closures.
- Coordinate contractors, timelines, budgets, and handovers.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within approved budgets.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with or within a facility management company, managing outsourced services and multi-site operations.
- Proven experience managing multiple properties, leases, vendors, and support services across different locations.
- Strong understanding of facilities operations, asset control, health & safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience overseeing administrative services and third-party service providers.
- Working knowledge of IT service delivery from a business perspective (IT assets, access control, service uptime, vendor coordination).
- Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and drive savings.
- Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and execution skills.

- The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring safe working conditions across CIG Motors’ operations, including showrooms, workshops, warehouses, and logistics activities. The role focuses on identifying risks associated with automobile operations, such as vehicle movement, lifting equipment, fuel handling, and implementing preventive measures to minimize incidents.
- The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and confident in enforcing safety standards while fostering a culture where safety is embedded in both customer-facing and back-end operations.
Key Responsibilities:
HSE Compliance & Governance
- Implement and monitor HSE policies across showrooms, workshops, and logistics units.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure all operational sites meet required safety standards.
Workshop & Operational Safety
- Monitor workshop activities, including vehicle repairs, use of lifting equipment, and handling of tools and machinery.
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of fuels, lubricants, batteries, and other hazardous materials.
- Enforce the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by technicians and support staff.
- Oversee safety during vehicle movement within premises to prevent collisions or injuries.
- Provide immediate first aid treatment to employees in the workshop in the event of injuries or medical emergencies.
Risk Assessment & Hazard Control
- Conduct routine risk assessments across all business locations.
- Identify potential hazards related to automobile servicing, electrical systems, and logistics operations.
- Implement corrective actions and stop unsafe practices immediately.
Training & Safety Awareness
- Conduct HSE inductions for new employees, including technicians.
- Organize regular toolbox talks and safety training sessions specific to workshop and logistics risks.
- Promote safety awareness for both staff and customers within showroom environments.
Incident Management & Reporting
- Investigate accidents, vehicle-related incidents, and workplace injuries to determine causes.
- Maintain accurate incident records and ensure timely reporting to management.
- Recommend and track corrective and preventive actions.
Emergency Preparedness
- Develop and implement emergency response procedures (fire, fuel spills, accidents).
- Ensure availability and proper maintenance of fire extinguishers, spill kits, and first aid equipment.
- Conduct periodic emergency drills across all locations.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare HSE reports for management review.
- Track safety performance metrics across departments.
- Recommend continuous improvements to enhance workplace safety and compliance.
Requirements
Requirements & Skills
- 3-5 years of proven experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in automobile, manufacturing, or logistics environments.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Familiarity with workshop safety, vehicle handling risks, and hazardous materials management.
- Experience in incident investigation and safety reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of HSE systems is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks proactively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train technicians and non-technical. staff.
- Assertive and confident in enforcing safety compliance.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety Management, Environmental Science, or related field.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE certification is an added advantage.
