    Project Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and Communicate with MAR&MOR Field Supervision, Subcontractors and Vendors to assist them in working to the Project Schedule as it pertains to MEP’s 
    • Represent MAR&MOR with Owner(s), Architects, Consultants, Government Authorities, Vendors and Subcontractors
    • Administer financial aspects of the Owner’s contract, subcontracts, and purchase orders
    • Build effective working relationships with clients and the MAR&MOR project team member Project Start-Up
    • Review the general contract and contract documents and confirm the budget setup and project milestones in conjunction with Project Lead
    • Create a schedule of values and project logs, plan for project safety and mobilization, including review and validation with team members
    • Purchasing process and document control
    • Maintain the buy schedule, write scopes of work, distribute and log subcontracts, write required contract riders and purchase orders, and confirm compliance with project insurance requirements
    • Review subcontractor references, obtain Subcontractor bonds, and maintain project files
    • Maintain and manage all purchase and delivery schedules, change order processes, shop drawings, document control logs, Owner, Architect and Subcontractor correspondence
    • Work with Purchasing in setting up/executing trade buyout including: defining scope of work, authoring Exhibit B’s, ensuring scope coverage, coordinating buy and project schedules
    • Meeting Management
    • Attend all schedule and management MEP meetings necessary to monitor and manage the project, chairing as appropriate
    • Financial Management
    • Manage all requisitions and payments including lien releases and project payroll and maintains best possible cash flow throughout the project, communicating issues proactively
    • Project Closeout
    • Deliver all necessary manuals to the Owner, consolidates project documentation and files
    • Manage subcontractor closeout, transfer of utilities, owner training, and punch list process
    • Deliver all warranties, AS-built and training to the owner.

    Requirements

    • BSc, BTech /HND or M.Sc. (or its equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering from a reputable and accredited higher institution of learning.
    • 7 - 9 years post NYSC experience in managing MEP projects.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification will be an added advantage.
    • Must be a registered member of COREN & NSE.

    Assistant Project Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Effectively communicate with property owners/managers/tenants, subcontractors and insurance adjusters
    • Assists Project Manager with the successful full cycle of assigned projects; from initiation to completion, including receipt of payment if necessary
    • Ensures all project documentation is accurate and uploaded into internal and external claims systems
    • Assists project with customer communication and interactions
    • Ensure work authorization, completion certificates and all other required documents are obtained from client
    • Ensure work order tasks and purchase orders are completed and uploaded in a timely manner
    • Invoicing is completed accurately in line with client protocols
    • Support outstanding receivables
    • Acts as a liaison between the customer and Project Manager to ensure project success
    • Address questions/concerns throughout the project
    • Perform tasks required by the Project Manager in support of project needs
    • Be aware of all aspects of the scopes of work so proper assistance to the Project Manager can be provided
    • Responsible to track project changes and produces updated schedules
    • Review project information and compile schedules in a timely manner
    • Tracks the progress of all new and ongoing projects and maintains up-to-date notes
    • Coordinate mitigation/restoration work with in-house staff and sub-trades
    • Prepare and/or edit internal scopes of work, estimates, budgets, letters, faxes, memos and emails
    • File all project documents appropriately (hard and soft copies)
    • Organize, compile and submit support documentation on completion of project
    • Submit any required information to the client as directed by the Project Manager
    • Report to the Project Manager for all issues
    • Be capable of short term coverage for the project in the event of Project Manager vacations or absences
    • Assist with reception relief as needed
    • Provide excellent customer service
    • Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
    • Ensure attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding other people’s property and information
    • Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices; follows all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of machines and equipment
    • Comply with all Mar&Mor policies and procedures, as well as legislative requirements
    • Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may or are affecting completion of the job to the appropriate person
    • Attend all Mar&Mor sponsored training courses

    Requirements

    • BSc, BTech / HND (or its equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering from a reputable and accredited higher institution of learning.
    • 5-6 years post NYSC experience in managing projects.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification will be an added advantage.

    • Also note that this role 70% office based and 30% project based.

    Plumbing Design Engineer

    Job Responsibilities

    • Assist with engineering design project planning (i.e. conceptual design through construction drawing development).
    • Complete code-required energy compliance and LEED documentation.
    • Perform final check of all work issued to ensure high quality, seal and sign documents as required.
    • Assist the Pre-Construction team with project pursuits, in the form of conceptual designs, one-lines, preliminary system selections and high-level energy analysis, code reviews, and support and attendance at project interviews.
    • Evaluate design parameters and system solutions for projects that respond to both the technical and budget requirements of the project.
    • Conduct engineering calculations, energy analysis, economic analysis, selection and layout of equipment, duct and piping system design.
    • Understanding of applications engineering including psychometrics, refrigeration, acoustics, and controls systems.
    • Assist with coordination of design and installation with Project Management, Construction and Service departments, Controls, and other trade partners.
    • Field engineering: assist with project execution, site surveys, trade coordination, scheduling, document management and problem-solving.
    • Computer 2D and 3D modelling of HVAC or plumbing systems utilizing the latest modelling software.
    • Effectively and professionally communicate with colleagues and project team members.
    • Manage time to meet project schedules and task deadlines.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering required from an accredited college or university.
    • Professional Engineering license such as COREN, NSE, NIMECH etc.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with people at different levels within the organization.
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment or independently, flexibility to adapt to changing needs/situations.
    • Excellent understanding of Engineering fundamentals.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit.

    • Candidate must have previous experience in site management.
    • Candidate must have 5 years’ relevant previous experience in similar role.
    • Must be AutoCAD or Revit Savvy.

    Project Engineer (Mechanical)

    Responsibilities

    • Provide Mechanical and Electrical inspection, troubleshooting and evaluation services
    • Run the finances of the Project through the instruction of the Managing Partner
    • Coordinate all technical issues within and around the Project
    • Reading design specifications and technical drawings prepared by other contractors
    • Represent the company on all meetings and requests by the client
    • Prepare conceptual designs, working and As-Built Drawings for projects engaged by the company.
    • Manage and maintain client relationships and communicate with clients to explain proposals, present research findings, establish specifications or discuss project status.
    • Develop and implement design and construction of assigned projects according to laid down specifications or standards
    • Providing analytical and problem solving support, employing engineering skills, in support of business and quality improvement processes.
    • Assist in the preparation of project proposals, bill- of quantities and documentation (Operating and maintenance Manuals)
    • Advise and assist in obtaining patents or meeting other legal requirements.
    • Maintain an awareness of trends, knowledge of the market and may also conduct research / market intelligence in the field of expertise. (Material sourcing and price Intelligence)
    • Motivate and train staff as the need arises. Provide management and leadership skills, including some level of administration.
    • Oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
    • Confer with engineers, regulators, vendors and others, to plan and review projects,
    • Make presentation at professional meetings further knowledge in the field.

    Requirements
