    Project Management Engineer

    Key Deliverables

    • As a Project Engineer, you will play a vital role in the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects.
    • You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered successfully, meeting quality standards and client requirements.

    Key Roles and Responsiblities

    • Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client expectations.
    • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate project viability and identify potential challenges or constraints.
    • Coordinate project activities, resources, and schedules, assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion.
    • Prepare engineering designs, drawings, and specifications, utilizing CAD software and other tools to develop detailed plans and layouts.
    • Procure materials, equipment, and services required for project execution, soliciting bids, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships.
    • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress, identify issues, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
    • Monitor project costs, expenditures, and budgets, tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and implementing cost-control measures to optimize project profitability.
    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies, to address project requirements and resolve issues.
    • Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, permits, and approvals, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
    • Conduct quality assurance and quality control activities, inspecting workmanship, materials, and installations to ensure adherence to engineering standards and specifications.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to project team members, assisting with problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making as needed.
    • Communicate project status, updates, and milestones to stakeholders, preparing progress reports, presentations, and documentation as required.
    • Implement project management methodologies and best practices, such as Agile or Waterfall, to streamline project processes and improve efficiency.
    • Manage project risks, issues, and changes, identifying potential impacts, developing mitigation strategies, and communicating adjustments to project plans as necessary.
    • Ensure completion of project deliverables, close out projects, and conduct post-project evaluations to assess lessons learned and identify opportunities for improvement.

    Requirements and Qualifications (Skills, Experience, and Knowledge)

    • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related field; master's degree is a plus.
    • Proven experience in project engineering, construction management, or a similar role, preferably in the engineering or construction industry.
    • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in engineering principles, practices, and methodologies relevant to the project scope.
    • Proficiency in engineering design software, CAD tools, and project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, Primavera, Microsoft Project).
    • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks, resources, and schedules to achieve project objectives.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders.
    • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to analyze complex issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions.
    • Knowledge of construction processes, codes, regulations, and safety standards applicable to engineering projects.
    • Familiarity with project management methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall, or Lean, and experience with project management tools and techniques.
    • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement, with a focus on delivering high-quality work and meeting client expectations.

    Senior Project Risk Engineer

    Key Deliverables

    • Identify the Risks associated with the projects and developing and maintaining risk management plan.
    • Identifying and evaluating risks related to compliance requirements, program/project processes and procedures, and governance. Identifying and evaluating risks particularly related to scope, schedule, costs, resources, and quality.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities

    • Assessing risk throughout project phases (design -construction/commissioning – verification). Assessing risks and any impact to project status and forecasts. Recommending measures to manage risks to enable project objectives.
    • Communicating risk assessments and risk response measures to PM director. Providing assessment and recommendations related to the completion and transition of project phases.
    • Directing node-level project teams through risk management processes and maintain risk register(s).
    • Coordinating and communicating with project management leadership across the project organization (node-level project teams and node-support teams).
    • Work on the Risk Register, Define Challenges, and Issues properly and address them to the Management in a timely manner and prepare the risk mitigation plan.
    • Report on potential risks and their responses and Advise on the probability and Impact Matrix for each project.
    • Facilitate meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors to identify, assess, and evaluate risk issues arising from different phases in the project lifecycle. Prepare and implement a risk management plan for construction projects outlining the processes to mitigate risks.
    • Participate in handling costs, claims associated with cost and time, change order management, and conflict resolution.
    • Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures within Oilserv Ltd and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by OSL.
    • Review and become familiar with project scope, design, project cost and project schedule documentation for various projects
    • Facilitate risk identification and quantification workshops, incorporating risks into risk register
    • Develop Monte Carlo simulations to quantify risks identified in the workshop
    • Prepare written monthly project risk assessment reports.
    • Create custom Risk Management tools on very short notice to react to project new threats
    • Consciously Support and promote the OSL QHSSE and ESG Objectives and KPIs.
    • Consistently participate on all QHSSE Daily, Weekly and Monthly Programs.
    • Participate in departmental and project progress meetings.
    • Stop, intervein and, report all unsafe work and behaviour.
    • Responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and adherence to Occupational Health & Safety policies.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.

    Qualifications (Skills, Experience, and Knowledge)

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, construction management or project management.
    • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in engineering and /or project management and in a functional role as Senior Risk Engineer on mega projects.
    • Minimum of 8 years' experiencein a similar role.
    • Excellent knowledge of project controls best practices, processes and tools
    • Experience using Palisades @Risk for estimating cost risk
    • Experience using Primavera Risk Analysis for analyzing project schedule risk
    • Expertise in Primavera P6 scheduling software
    • Strong Proficiency in the use of standard Microsoft Office products
    • Progressively responsible experience working on a range of construction projects and programs, including oil and gas infrastructure and facilities projects
    • Minimum of five years of experience in performing qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, including the use of risk assessment tools.

    Technical Buyer

    Role Description

    • This full-time Technical Buyer role is an on-site position based in Port Harcourt.
    • The Technical Buyer is responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing activities for technical materials, equipment, and services required for Oil & Gas projects.
    • Daily tasks include preparing and issuing requests for quotation, evaluating supplier offers, negotiating prices and terms, and raising purchase orders in line with company policies and project specifications.
    • The role involves close collaboration with engineering, project management, logistics, and finance teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement, as well as maintaining accurate records and supporting audit and compliance requirements.
    • The Technical Buyer also monitors supplier performance, addresses delivery or quality issues, and contributes to continuous improvement of procurement processes.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s/HND degree (Engineering, Management or Social Sciences)
    • Minimum of 2 years’ Experience in procurement function.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Appreciates the main risks that can impact supply chains and how they can be mitigated.
    • Experienced and understands the application of procedures and governance affecting procurement and supply chain activities.
    • Experienced and understands the use and purpose of a financial budget and its impact on procurement and supply activities.
    • Evidence of self and team development.
    • Experience with influencing and improving ethical practices in the supply chain function.
    • Excellent knowledge of spend management.
    • Good knowledge of MS packages, especially Excel.
