    Program Manager

    Locations: Madagali, Adamawa and Gwoza, Borno

    Position Overview

    • AGUF is seeking a Project Manager to lead the technical implementation of its Protection Project in Madagali (Adamawa State) and Gwoza (Borno State).
    • The Project Manager will oversee project planning, execution, and reporting to ensure high-quality delivery, effective budget management, and strong coordination with stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure all project activities are implemented on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
    • Conduct routine data quality checks to maintain accuracy and integrity of all program data and reports.
    • Monitor and analyze emerging protection needs and propose actionable recommendations.
    • Track project expenditure and collaborate with the Executive Director to ensure compliance with financial and programmatic targets.
    • Represent AGUF in relevant coordination and stakeholder meetings at state and LGA levels.
    • Provide leadership, supervision, and technical support to protection staff and field teams.
    • Conduct regular field visits to assess progress, identify challenges, and document lessons learned.
    • Prepare timely reports and contribute to program learning and improvement initiatives.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Protection, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
    • Additional certifications or training in Protection, Project Management, or Humanitarian Response will be an advantage.
    • 3–4 years of relevant experience in project or program management, preferably within humanitarian or emergency contexts.
    • Demonstrated experience in supervision, budget management, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines in challenging environments.
    • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to field locations, including remote and hard-to-reach areas.

    Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer

    Locations: Adamawa (Madagali) & Borno (Gwoza)

    Position Overview

    • AGUF is seeking a skilled and motivated Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer to support the implementation of its Protection Project in Madagali (Adamawa State) and Gwoza (Borno State).
    • The M&E Officer will play a critical role in designing, coordinating, and executing monitoring and evaluation activities to ensure accurate data collection, analysis, reporting, and learning throughout the project cycle.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement robust M&E frameworks, systems, and tools to track project performance.
    • Ensure quality data collection, verification, and analysis to measure progress against project objectives and indicators.
    • Conduct field visits to monitor activities, validate data, and provide technical support to field teams.
    • Support project staff in integrating M&E practices into planning, implementation, and reporting processes.
    • Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for internal use and donor submission.
    • Promote accountability and learning by sharing findings and best practices with the project team.
    • Ensure compliance with AGUF and donor reporting standards and timelines.
    • Collaborate closely with program and protection staff to improve project quality, efficiency, and impact.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree (BSc, BA, or HND) in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies, Project Management, or a related discipline.
    • Minimum of 3–4 years of relevant experience in Monitoring and Evaluation, preferably within humanitarian or protection-focused programs.
    • Proven experience using M&E and data collection tools such as KoboCollect, ODK, or CommCare.
    • Strong skills in data management, analysis, visualization, and report writing.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
    • Willingness to travel regularly to field sites, including remote and hard-to-reach locations.

    Head of Programs / Operations

    Locations: Madagali - Adamawa and Gwoza - Borno

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide overall leadership, coordination, and technical guidance for project implementation across both target LGAs.
    • Supervise program and operations teams to ensure efficiency, accountability, and compliance with AGUF and donor standards.
    • Ensure that all project activities are implemented on time, within budget, and with measurable impact.
    • Strengthen partnerships and collaboration with government authorities, community stakeholders, and other humanitarian actors.
    • Oversee logistics, procurement, and financial operations in collaboration with the Finance and Procurement units.
    • Ensure effective monitoring, reporting, and documentation of all project activities.
    • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continual learning among project staff.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of a B.Sc. or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related discipline .
    • At least 3–5 years of experience in program or operations management with an NGO or humanitarian organization.
    • Proven experience managing multi-sectoral teams and donor-funded projects.
    • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication, coordination, and report-writing abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Fluency in English and Hausa (knowledge of local languages in the target communities is an advantage).
    • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to project sites and work in remote areas.

    Procurement Officer

    Location: Yola, Adamawa

    About the Role

    • Under the supervision of the Executive Director and technical guidance of the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for all procurement and logistics activities for AGUF’s office in Yola.
    • The Procurement Officer will ensure transparent, timely, and compliant acquisition of goods and services, maintaining ethical relationships with vendors and adherence to AGUF and donor policies.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure all procurement is conducted according to AGUF and donor-specific policies.
    • Coordinate with Finance and Program teams to ensure integrated internal controls and timely vendor payments.
    • Maintain transparent and responsive procurement processes.
    • Communicate and coordinate regularly with requesting departments to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
    • Establish and maintain professional relationships with suppliers and service providers.
    • Maintain up-to-date supplier information and market intelligence.
    • Support procurement and program staff through guidance and training when required.
    • Attend procurement committee meetings and manage procurement staff.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Administration, or related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
    • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
    • Good command of written and spoken English and Hausa
