    Product Analyst

    Our Client

    Our client, the world’s largest off-grid solar energy company with presence in Africa and Asia and with products that serves an estimated 53million people across 35 countries is seeking to appoint a seasoned Product Analyst.

    The Role

    Reporting to the Global Product Analyst, you will:

    Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes. This includes product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and support product launches. You will also produce reports and make recommendations to the Global Product Manager to be used as guidance in decision making.

    Job Description

    New Product Identification

    • Own the Product Ideation Framework and track the offer road-map evolution according to the Product Ideation Process.
    • Appraise new product ideas and strategize appropriate Go-To-Market (GTM) plans
    • Conduct secondary market research, analyze market data, identify consumer behaviors and trends, make recommendations, and provide launch strategies.
    • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, target markets, impact, revenue, and ROI.
    • Identify competitors, gather information, and analyze the competition's strengths and weaknesses. Document organization’s competitive advantage and generate reports and presentations on the findings.

    New Product Pilots

    • Formulate ways for which to package and market products in such a way that they become differentiated, compelling, easy to sell, and easy to buy.
    • Monitor pilot project performance and present the findings to key internal stakeholders.
    • Identify product regulatory standards / technical requirements and ensure compliance.
    • Ensures that third parties comply and are familiar with all business processes and policies.
    • Support the execution of product pilots as needed by Product Managers.

    New Product Introduction

    • Support Marketing and the Training Department with technical documentation and market data.
    • Respond in a timely manner to all requests and enquiries for product information or changes. Assess the need for any requested changes as well as their potential l impact.
    • Support customized branding requirements from key partnerships.

    Qualifications

    • Graduate of four (4) year course preferably Business Course, engineering, or any related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years experience in product analysis or market research within Energy, FinTech, Electricity distribution or Oil & Gas sector.
    • Have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (most importantly Excel), Google Workspace (Forms, Sheets, Docs, Slides), Tableau and/or Power BI.
    • Exhibit critical thinking skills: Strong ability to structure problems and drive towards solutions even in ambiguous situations.
    • Have knowledge of business operations and process operations.
    • Open to travel at least 10% of the time.
    • Display excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to handle challenges at a rapidly growing organization. You can communicate product decisions in the lens of multiple stakeholders

    Our Client

    Our client, one of the world's leading insurers and asset managers with a broad range of personal and corporate insurance services, ranging from property, life and health insurance, assistance services to credit insurance and global business insurance is seeking to appoint a result-driven Brokers Development Expert (North).

    The Role

    Overview

    The Brokers Development Expert will be responsible for collaborating with Team Lead on the strategic direction of respective brokers channel team and also implement the annual sales targets.

    You will be responsible for the development and implementation of business processes as well as the management of performance across all activities in order to achieve business objectives and improve performance.

    S/he will be accountable for managing changes in customer expectations and engagement, technology and innovation, business uncertainties with regulators, attraction of skilled talents as well as pricing.

    Responsibilities

    1.         Strategic

    • Assist in the development and implementation of long and short term strategies for the respective teams including preparation of business plans and annual budgets.
    • Assist with implementing sales initiatives within the corporate space such as distribution of strategy and channel management.
    • Responsible for planning and leading the development of new service delivery channels and other tie-ups to enhance market share.

    2.        Operational

    • Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvement.
    • Responsible for monitoring training programs on ongoing product or other relevant refreshers for respective clients and team members.
    • Ensure the business is running in compliance with all local/ international regulations.
    • Responsible for developing market intelligence activities to actively track and respond to the needs of customer segments across respective teams.

    3.        Sales & Customer Excellence

    • Accountable for achieving business targets in terms of volumes, market share and profit across all business segments.
    • Responsible for planning and implementing the development of sales business.
    • Ensure the timely delivery of quotation requests, new business, renewals, etc.
    • Responsible for building a solid relationship with the brokers, other intermediaries and clients

    4.        Business Support

    • Coordinate with various departments within the company to deliver on expectation
    • Follow up and monitor the achievements of other budgets: premiums, commissions, claims, investments and related results.
    • Monitor and analyse the performance and profitability of various segments.

    Ideal Candidate Profile

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in corporate sales, marketing and customer relations management within the insurance industry.
    • Experience working in the North (Nigeria).
    • Experience with SMEs, NGOs and the public sector.
    • Excellent knowledge of the business, products, business prospecting and sales activation.
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related course. A professional insurance qualification is an added advantage.
    • Excellent presentation, communication, relationship management, time management, and risk management skills.
