This role is responsible for managing and coordinating the sourcing and supply of Palm Kernel Seeds to ensure consistent availability. It involves identifying viable procurement locations and strategically deploying teams to deliver strong weekly volumes. Additionally, this role monitors nationwide material sources to track yields and specifications, providing data-driven insights for procurement decisions.

• Consistent weekly sourcing directly from farmers, and ramp up to required tonnage/week consistently.
• Build a scalable model that ensures 100% transparency in weighing, payment of palm kernel and data traceability.
• Create a seamless operations strategy with the Logistics team to ensure fast aggregation and delivery targets are met.
• Lead the creation of new aggregation centers and make strong relationships with local farmers across entire states/regions.
• Source thousands of tonnes per year of palm kernel directly from farmers, cooperatives, and communities.
• Liaise with the Quality control department to ensure quality parameters are within expected set range.
• Coordinate material sourcing at highly effective price to ensure value for money.
• Closely monitor the raw materials ingredients sources across the Nation to keep abreast of all yields and specifications to guide informed Management decision on procurement.
• Stay updated on market trends across various commodity sources.
• Track volumes and monitor customer demand patterns to align raw materials assignment to production plans.
• Evaluate all Suppliers on time-delivery in line with agreed contract for effective monitoring and order prioritization.
• Recommend the backlist of poor or non-performing Suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Membership in recognized procurement/supply chain bodies (CIPP, CSCP, CPIM, CIPS) is a plus.
• At least 2 years' experience in procurement, focusing on direct material sourcing, supply chain management, strategic sourcing, and procurement standards.
