    Procurement Executive

    Location: Calabar, Cross River

    Job Description

    • The ideal candidate will report to the General Manager, improve on the supply of products / services by maintaining / analyzing the procurement spending, supply partnership and exploring new possibilities in order to guarantee value for money.

    Key Job Responsibilities

    • Generate and implement efficient sourcing strategies and category management
    • Discover trustworthy vendors, initiate organization partnerships; facilitate their registration
    • Invent negotiating strategies and secure profitable deals
    • Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency
    • Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques: foresee alterations and anticipate shifts in comparative negotiating abilities of vendors, expect unfavourable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
    • Support and guide Stakeholders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company in order to guarantee agreements on terms and processes
    • Perform cost and scenario analysis including benchmarking
    • Determine overall quantity and timing of deliveries of items or services

    Job Specification

    • B.Sc. / B.A. / HND Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration
    • Proven work experience as a Sourcing, Supply Chain, Purchasing or Procurement Executive
    • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
    • Familiarity with sourcing/vendor management software and other relevant software
    • Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgment
    • Strong project management and leadership skills
    • Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
    • Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data (statistic skill)
    • Adherence to regulations, processes, procedures and best practices in regards to sourcing and procurement

    Accountant

    Location: Calabar, Cross River

    Job Description

    • The ideal candidate will report to the Finance and Accounts Manager, prepare timely and reliable IFRS-based financial reports for management analysis.

    Key Job Responsibilities

    • Maintain various ledgers, journals, registers and other records; allocates revenues to appropriate functions; classifies expenditures and post to various accounts as required
    • Produce Monthly, quarterly and yearly Trial Balance reports
    • Produce Monthly Revenue Analysis and management accounts

    Equipment Operator

    Location: Calabar, Cross River

    Job Description

    • The ideal candidate will report to the Technical Services Manager, operate all technical and operational equipment which include forklifts, reach stackers, cranes and cargo lifting equipment in a safe and efficient manner and in line with standard operating procedures outline for such equipment.

    Key Job Responsibilities

    • Operating and running forklift, cranes, reach stackers and other operational vehicle as may be required during all operations
    • Documentation of faults, reporting operational issues and defining Standard Operating Procedures for all terminal goods-handling task
    • Accountable for the safe operation of assigned equipment, inspection, cleaning and lubrication of such equipment to achieve the desire efficiencies and effectiveness
    • Participates in the maintenance of assigned equipment with other Operators and Technicians by carrying out cleaning, inspection and lubrication of his/her assigned equipment
    • Track lubricants and spares availability with the Technicians. Also monitor spares and materials requisition with the Maintenance Supervisor for prompt service/procurement/delivery of the needed spares
    • Supports improvement projects by participating in team meeting for problem solving analysis and documenting solutions for critical performance management

    HSEQ Officer

    Location: Calabar, Cross River

    Job Description

    • The ideal candidates will report to the HSEQ  Manager, will be responsible for implementing Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) rules and regulations within the company and during Company’s business operations (both internal and external) in order to reduce workplace incidents to as low as reasonably practicable with zero Lost Time Injury and zero fatality.

    Key Job Responsibilities

    • Provide support for the development, implementation and monitoring of health, Safety, Environment and Quality management systems (HSEQ-MS) for all operations
    • Provide support for the development, implementation and monitoring of emergency response system
    • Applies the ILO code of practice on port HSEQ operations and embark on real time HSEQ risk assessment within the facilities
    • Enforces HSEQ Policies and Procedures for compliance (as specified in the concession agreement)
    • Coordinate HSEQ in-house training activity plan
    • Assist in the implementation of approved HSEQ communication, HSEQ Emergency and HSEQ audit-inspection activities plan
    • Ensure proper HSEQ documentation and prompt HSEQ reporting
