Role Description

• The Personal Banking Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Abuja, responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of individual customers.
• This role involves onboarding new customers, conducting account opening and KYC processes, and providing tailored advice on savings, loans, and other retail banking products.
• The Personal Banking Officer will handle daily customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a positive branch experience across physical and digital channels. The role includes cross-selling appropriate financial products, monitoring account activity, and supporting customers with digital banking tools.
• The Personal Banking Officer will collaborate closely with branch and operations teams to ensure compliance, accurate documentation, and achievement of sales and service targets.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Finance, Personal Banking, and Financial Planning, with the ability to recommend suitable retail banking products and solutions.
• Proven Customer Service and Communication skills, with a customer-centric mindset and the ability to build trust-based relationships.
• Prior experience in retail or microfinance banking, or a related financial services environment, is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Comfort with digital banking platforms and basic MS Office tools; ability to learn new fintech applications quickly.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity in handling confidential information, and commitment to regulatory and internal compliance standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and collaborate effectively within a diverse team.
