    Personal Assistant / Research Assistant

    Description

    • Have you seen anyone defecating in the open before? Do you depend on ‘Mai Ruwa’ for your water supply? Do you know over 48 million Nigerians have no decent toilet? And only two of three Nigerians have access to a protected drinking water point? In fact, less than 10% of Nigerians have access to a piped water service and less than 5% have their fecal waste safely managed.

    • If you’re motivated by the desire to make a contribution to Nigeria’s effort to eliminate open defecation by 2025, provide sanitation facilities, improve access to drinking water for every Nigerian, everywhere by 2030, and you’re young and vibrant, and crazy about social media, communications and campaigns, then this is your chance to join a new firm set up to support donors and strengthen public WASH institutions to provide the transformational environment and operations able to birth and sustain viable utility operations and services.

    Tasks

    • Support the day-to-day activities of the Executive;
    • Organize/attend meetings, workshops, conferences and write reports;
    • Participate in proposal writing, literature reviews and field research; and
    • Develop learning materials, policy briefs and advocacy messages.

    Personality Profile

    • An Undergraduate Degree with a Second Class Upper grade or a post-graduate qualification would be an advantage.
    • 2 - 3 years of work experience.
    • Young and vibrant personality
    • Self-starter and takes initiative
    • Very organized and detail oriented
    • Discreet and with a high sense of value
    • Enjoys being on the road.

    Must Have Skills:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
    • Graphics design and ArcGIS knowledge is an advantage;
    • Highly skilled with numbers and can crunch data;
    • Very strong oral and written communication skills including writing proposals and reports;
    • Experience of desk / literature research, and field surveys;
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills; and
    • A flexible, adaptable and professional approach to work.

    Advocacy and Communication Assistant

    • Our current advocacy and communication assistant is away on study leave. We need a cover for her over the next one year.

    Tasks

    • Social Media and Website Management
    • Develop creative and engaging social media strategies
    • Advocacy and communication program coordination and business prospecting
    • Events, media and publicity coordination
    • Learning and knowledge management
    • Writing and Editorial support.

    Personality Profile

    • A qualification in Communication at a Second-Class Upper grade or post graduate level will be an advantage.
    • 2 - 3 years of work experience. 
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks;
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision;
    • Passion for creative writing;
    • Young and vibrant personality;
    • Self-starter and takes initiative;
    • Organized and detail oriented; and
    • Discreet and with a high sense of value.

    Must have Skills:

    • Very strong oral and written communication skills including writing proposals and reports
    • Graphic design skills and ability to use technology to complete tasks (Google tools, webinar management, social media platforms, etc.)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • A flexible, adaptable and professional approach to work.

    Remuneration
    N50,000 - N100,000 Monthly.

    Admin / Finance Assistant

    Job Description

    Task

    • Organize day to day travels and logistics of project teams;
    • Conduct review of travel related expenditure;
    • Implement financial procedures for managing, tracking, monitoring and recording project costs;
    • Make payments, preparing bank reconciliations, making cash/cheque deposits to the bank;
    • Maintain proper filling system both in hard and soft formats and make sure files are up to date;
    • Entering transactions and payroll in accounting software; and
    • Execute a variety of other administrative/accounting tasks as directed.

    Qualifications

    • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree qualification with 2 - 3 years work experience.

    Personality Profile:

    • Young and vibrant personality;
    • Self-starter and takes initiative;
    • Very organized and detail oriented;
    • Discreet and with a high sense of value; and
    • A qualification in accounting will be an advantage.

    Must have skills:

    • A fair knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software;
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
    • Highly skilled with numbers and can crunch data;
    • Very strong oral and written communication skills including writing proposals and reports;
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
    • A flexible, adaptable and professional approach to work; and
    • Knowledge of USAID and its contractual and reporting procedure is an advantage.

    Salary
    N50,000 - N100,000 / month.
