    Patient Handler

    Job Responsibilities

    • Safely transport patients to and from treatment areas using wheelchairs, stretchers, or other equipment as needed.
    • Prepare patients for treatment by assisting with dressing, undressing, and positioning as required.
    • Provide general care and support to patients, including assisting with toileting, feeding, and hydration.
    • Always maintain patient confidentiality and dignity.
    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
    • Maintain accurate records of patient transportation and care activities.
    • Clean and disinfect equipment and patient care areas as required.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient care and safety.

    Requirements

    Sonographer

    Responsibilities

    • Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to produce clear and informative diagnostic images.
    • Review images to ensure quality and identify any abnormalities that may require further investigation.
    • Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations by explaining procedures, positioning them comfortably, and applying ultrasound gel.
    • Maintain detailed patient records, documenting examination findings and technical parameters.
    • Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, providing preliminary exam results and observations.

    • Stay up to date on the latest advancements in ultrasound technology and procedures.

    Job Requirements

    • A license to practice.

    Radiographer

    Job Responsibilities

    • Positioning patients and equipment, explaining the procedures, and ensuring patients' comfort.
    • Interact with patients to offer them psychological support and reassurance.
    • Set accurate radiation levels in accordance with established standards and obtain patient consent prior to diagnostic imaging to fulfill legal requirements.
    • Operate CT scanners, MRI, X-rays, machines etc. to obtain radiographic images of patient.
    • Evaluate patient condition prior to radiotherapy to determine the suitable radiographic technique for treatment.
    • Accurately performs diagnostic imaging to obtain clear, usable images.
    • Inserting commands and data into the computer to document and specify the scan sequences and monitoring the video display to adjust the density or contrast.
    • Monitor patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
    • Ensure that all names of conducted studies are move to work area.
    • Ensure that all acquired images are uploaded onto the viewing platform.
    • Ensure compliance with established safety regulations and procedures when operating radiation equipment in order to prevent ill-exposure to ionizing radiation.
    • Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to the Physician, and updating patients' records on PACS.
    • Follow all radiology health and safety rules and report any possible hazards to the Radiologist and Branch Operations Manager
    • Keep and / or retrieve departmental copies of patient test reports.

    Requirement

    • First Degree in Radiography
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar job role
    • A license to practice Radiography.
    • Observes confidentiality both with patient information and co-workers.
    • Ability to connect with several types of patients.
    • Attention to detail and skill in proper patient identification.

    Medical Laboratory Scientist

    Responsibilties

    • Calibrate instruments when required according to the relevant work Instruction / SOP / refer to index.
    • Prepare and load reagents on the analysers according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
    • Analyse and process all samples when required according to the relevant work instruction / SOP.
    • Perform scheduled maintenance on instruments according to the relevant work instructions / SOP.
    • Receive specimens on the LIS system prior to analysis when required according to the work instruction / SOP.
    • Enter and verify results manually according to the relevant work instruction / SOP.
    • Use the analyser batch to process routine results on the instruments which are interfaced according to the relevant work instruction / SOP.
    • Perform daily 10% checks on manually entered results according to the relevant work instructions / SOP
    • Prepare agars and other materials needed to ensure smooth operations in the lab
    • Communicate and document evidence of communication of critical report to the pathologist and/or patients’ physician for swift action.
    • Periodic equipment maintenance – (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly etc.)
    • Maintain a daily diary of events on the bench.
    • Train, supervise and support junior scientists and technicians bench procedures, troubleshooting and maintenance procedures on each bench according to the relevant work instruction / SOP
    • Evaluate new equipment and or diagnostic kits according to the relevant requirements as needed in conjunction with the Technical Quality co-ordinator.
    • Perform, review and trouble shoot internal quality control results.
    • Document daily QC results and corrective action where required, perform and review IQA, implement improvement plans
    • Participate in the internal and external quality assurance program of the organisation
    • Write and review Standard Operating procedures (SOP), work instructions and policies and procedures for accreditation purposes in conjunction with Quality department.
    • Perform daily administrative tasks such completing quality management forms as requested by the Team lead, and/or Branch operations manager.
    • Weekly stock consumptions on the inventory manager
    • Weekly stock monitoring and utilization (zero expiration of stock on ground - first expiry first out)
    • Monthly STOs and end of month stock report (zero stock out on consumables)
    • Clear all outstanding reports from the previous day upon resumption of work.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science (MLS) or a related field
    • Registered with Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria
    • 2 - 4 years’ experience in a similar role

    • Testing analysis & Basic Quality management
    • Quantitative research and statistics
    • Practical ethical responsibility – Good laboratory practices and patient safety standards.

    Warehouse & Inventory Officer (Health Sector)

    Responsibilties

    • Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures, protocols and other work-related policies.
    • Controls inventory levels by conducting daily physical counts; reconciling with system data.
    • Supervise the receiving, monitoring and maintenance of stock in the warehouse to ensure sufficient stocks are available at any given time to meet the requirements as per the company guidelines.
    • Supervise the use and daily update of all inventories related items on the ERP software.
    • Determine and allocate appropriate daily manpower required for optimal warehouse operations & groom the team members for continuous improvement.
    • Ensure proper space management and stacking of goods in the designated spaces.
    • Any other responsibility that may be assigned by Management.

    Job Requirements

    • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or the Certified Warehouse Professional (CWP).
    • B.sc in Business Administration or any related discipline.
    • 2 - 3 years of experience in warehouse management or inventory control in healthcare sector is an added advantage.

    Medical Laboratory Technician

    Responsibilities

    • Arrange daily activities based on urgency of request of samples.
    • Keep phlebotomy room clean, tables well arranged, blood collection set well arranged, documents well arranged, perform daily contamination of tables with bleach, decontaminate tourniquet at the close of work daily.
    • Identify patients using ID documents or other means.
    • Reassure patients and help them relax.
    • Determine suitable venipuncture sites.
    • Draw blood using sterilized needles ensuring optimal quantity and quality of samples.
    • Label samples correctly and answer patient questions giving them meaningful information.
    • Keep an accurate record of all specimens.
    • Adhere to all health and safety standards while working, ensure proper waste segregation and use of PPE at all times.

    Requirements

    • 1-3 years experience in Similar Role
    • MLT certification
    • Technician experience/ training
    • Attention to detail and skill in proper patient identification.
    • Experience in Venipuncture techniques
    • Time management
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to connect with several types of patients.
