Job Summary

• Residency training under the West Africa College of Surgeons and the National Postgraduate College of Nigeria training curriculum.

Requirements

• Medical Degree from an accredited University within Nigeria or equivalent from a university or medical college abroad recognized by the Nigerian Medical and Dental Council (NMDC)
• Must have passed the National or West Africa Primaries in Ophthalmology
• Must have completed NYSC.

Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled Ophthalmologist who is proficient in using state-of-the-art ophthalmic equipment for the diagnosis and management of eye diseases.
• This doctor will be responsible for running Ophthalmology Clinics and surgeries.
• Responsibilities range from simple tasks, such as dally patient care in the clinic, to coordinating outreach programs, teaching Resident Doctors, and performing advanced procedures like cataract and other eye surgeries.

Requirements

• MBBS Degree from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 2 years post-residency training.
• A license to practice ophthalmology in Nigeria.
• Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons and/or National Postgraduate Medical College or equivalent qualification such as the FRCS or FACS.
