    Operator Packaging

    The key purpose of this position is to Safely operate and maintain defined Packaging equipment (Filling and labelling process areas which have a bigger business impact with cost and consumer quality) and related process to achieve optimal effectiveness.

    Key outputs and responsibilities:

    OPERATING AND PROCESS CONTROL

    • Operating equipment in Packaging process areas according to VPO standards
    • Constantly reviewing process performance against target, and recording short stops and correcting any out of controls using the VPO tools
    • Recording waste and movement of product on the appropriate documentation or information systems. Review trends to identify & resolve problems.

    MAINTENANCE OF PLANT AND EQUIPMENT

    • Carrying out autonomous operations as defined for the process areas.
    • Identify defective plant, and report these through to the Process Artisan or Team Leader to assist with resolution.
    • Assisting the Process Artisan/Machine specialist in executing running repairs on shift.

    QUALITY CONTROL AND ANALYSIS

    • Carrying out the required quality checks and analyses and recording the results on the appropriate information system.
    • The list of quality checks to be executed is contained in the work instructions.
    • React to the results using the VPO tools supplied.

    COMMUNICATION

    • Actively participate in shift meetings, asking questions to test understanding and contributing suggestions. making use of the action logs to record issues, problems and improvement opportunities.
    • Fully understand the team Dream and contribute in achieving it.
    • Make use of relevant communication media (e.g. shift logbook) to stay informed and inform others of issues.
    • Complete required hand over to incoming shift team members, ensuring the issues relating to plant performance, quality and maintenance are communicated.

    PROBLEM SOLVING

    • Where problems occur, use the VPO problem solving tools to resolve and record the issues.

    Key attributes and competencies:

    Education

    • BSc/HND or equivalent in Engineering

    Experience

    Environment and Safety Controller

    The Key purpose of this role is to ensuring environmental legal compliance in the supply operations, whilst improving safety culture, and delivery of our vision for a better world. Also directly impacts the VIC costs negatively if usages are out of control and revenue delivery from co-products is not well managed.

    Key outputs and responsibilities:

    • Ensure conformance to specifications and standards
    • Lead the establishment of a SAFETY FIRST culture through implementation of behavioral safety program 
    • Ensure delivery of results through implementation of VPO standards and relevant safety and environment SOPs
    • Manage departmental Budget / Finances

    Quality Instrument Technician

    The Key purpose of this position is to Performs optimization /modifications of process control systems, Supports the installations of process control systems.     Raw Material Controller - Brewing

    The Key purpose of this position is s to ensure all Brewing raw materials needed required for production is available at the correct time and in sufficient quantities.

    Key outputs and responsibilities:

    • Ensuring all Packaging raw materials required for production is available at the correct time & in sufficient quantities.
    • Managing & governance control of all Brewing raw materials and M&P's.
    • Providing accurate and timeous management information to facilitate pro-active decision making by line management. 
    • Providing brewing Raw Material stock levels to Central Planning weekly.
    • Ensuring material Quality standards are met.
    • Managing and execute AB-INBEV inventory control procedures
    • Comply to AB Inbev Safety Standards and Procedures . 
    • Have sufficient raw materials and M&P's available for all Packaging lines. 
    • Have raw materials available at the correct point of use.
    • Reconcile and balance receiving & issuing of Packaging materials. And do daily bottle & can recon with pack lines.
    • Stock management & control of all raw mats and M&P's.
    • Monitor usages of raw materials and M&P's for all Pack lines. 
    • Raw material usages in SAP & physical stock to balance weekly. 
    • Prepare weekly & monthly ICE packs. 
    • Always comply to AB Inbev PTP policy.
    • Implement VPO at level 1.
    • Advise the regional planner and line on when to Start/Stop promotional materials and run out plans
    • Participate in departmental BOM review

    Key attributes and competencies:

    • Good understanding of the Packaging process.
    • Computer literate (MS Office - Excel).
    • Knowledge of SAP Procurement policies and principles.
    • Knowledge of AB InBev specific purchasing and stock control procedures

    • Min – HND
    • B Tech Logistics or Equivalent qualification in Logistics or Commercial
    • Min – 6 months on the job training

    Experience

    • Min - 2 Years raw materials handling experience.

    Control Specialist

    The key purpose of this role is to perform activities related to journal processing, reconciliations, process improvement, management of SAP open items and general accounting administration

    Key outputs and responsibilities:

    • Preparation of monthly and annual General Accounting activities.
    • Present and implement corrective action and preventive action for recurring process related issues. Perform Root Cause analysis for recurring or high severity issues resulting in issue reduction.  Identify automation opportunities to improve the way we operate and work closely with technology to leverage system functionalities to improve the process.
    • Preparation of journals, ensuring that journals are accurately and timeously uploaded and processed in SAP.
    • Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
    • Administer and timeously clear all open items in SAP to ensure a healthy ageing status.
    • Manage GL Chart of Accounts
    • Adherence to General Ledger closure deadlines in accordance to management requirements.
    • Assist the team to meet weekly and monthly targets and all relevant SLA’s and KPI's.
    • Maintenance of role training documentation. Assisting in knowledge transfer to new employees within the role.
    • Adhere to internal control protocols and provide information as required to internal and external audit.
    • Share information as it relates to business requirements.
