    Communication and Visibility Officer

    Job Summary:

    The Communication and Visibility Officer is responsible for developing and implementing effective communication and visibility strategies to promote the organization\'s goals, objectives, and impact. The officer will work closely with the executive director and other team members to ensure consistent and impactful communication with various stakeholders, including donors, partners, beneficiaries, and the general public.

    Key Responsilities

    • Develop and implement communication and visibility plans to promote the organization\'s work and impact.
    • Manage the organization\'s media and public relations, including media outreach, press releases, and statements
    • Maintain and update regularly GCCHRI publications, social media and website, including the production of quarterly newsletters, web stories and press releases. 
    •  Undertake quality control to all communications products and branding produced in the region. 
    • Collaborate with other communications staff and/or focal points. 
    • Support the GCCHRI Executive Director’s communications as required. 
    •  Oversee the organization\'s digital presence, including website, social media, and email communications 
    • Spread awareness and disseminate information on SDG efforts and actions. 
    •  Implement different communication and visibility strategies as per the counterparts’/partners requirements.
    • Represent the organization at meetings, events, and conferences as required
    •  Support the development of proposals and reports to donors and other stakeholders 
    • Undertake other relevant GCCHRI communication-related duties, as required.
    • Provide material to communicate internally (to the donor, staff, and partners) regular updates on progress, logistics of events, and technical achievements/issues within the project.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in basic office software tools (MS Office, email, internet), InDesign, Photoshop, etc.
    • Proven interpersonal, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure.
    • Develop and disseminate high-quality communication materials, including reports, newsletters, and success stories

    Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Assistant

    Duration:                6 Months – Extendable

    Job Summary

    The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Assistant will manage information and reporting processes and products to ensure professional, high-quality communication in an organization\'s activities and results. He/she will play an important role in improving information management and data quality, and in strengthening knowledge sharing and learning across the organization.

    He/she will also be responsible for full-cycle monitoring and evaluation of programs, developing appropriate methodologies and tools to design assessments.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the design and implementation of project monitoring frameworks, including developing clear and measurable indicators and activity tracking tools.
    • Assist in aligning MEAL activities with overall program goals and objectives.
    • Contribute to the preparation of annual work plans by ensuring MEAL activities, targets, and indicators are well integrated.
    • Maintain and update indicator tracking sheets, databases, and reporting tools to monitor project performance.
    • Support adherence to monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and reporting requirements across all project sites.
    • Collect, clean, and verify data from field activities to ensure accuracy and reliability.
    • Generate simple indicator reports and summaries to track project progress.
    • Assist in creating data visualizations (e.g., tables, charts, dashboards) for reports and presentations.
    • Provide basic reviews and formatting of MEAL reports to ensure quality and consistency.
    • Participate in assessments, surveys, and evaluation exercises, including data collection, entry, and documentation.
    • Support field monitoring visits to verify data quality, assess activity progress, and capture lessons learned.
    • Facilitate regular feedback and accountability activities with community members and stakeholders.
    • Support capacity-building activities for project staff and community structures on basic MEAL concepts and data collection tools.
    • Contribute to documentation of best practices, success stories, and lessons learned for program improvement.
    • Maintain regular communication and coordination with implementing partners, stakeholders, and community structures.
    • Perform other duties related to MEAL activities as assigned by the supervisor.

    • Basic understanding of monitoring and evaluation tools and methodologies (qualitative and quantitative).
    • Experience in data entry and database management (e.g., Excel, Kobo, ODK, or other mobile data collection tools).
    • Ability to prepare simple reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills.

    Essential:

    • Computer skills, especially in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
    • Experience in Electronic Data Collection.
    • Previous track record monitoring Nutrition projects with previous experience working with INGO/NNGO.
    • Experience in planning and managing surveys, developing, and refining data collection tools, and with data quality assessments and oversight.

    Nutrition Assistant

    Duration:                6 Months – Extendable

    Job Summary

    The Nutrition assistance will assist in implementing nutrition programs within our humanitarian setting. You will work closely with CNMs and under the supervision of nutrition officer to ensure that nutrition interventions are effectively integrated into broader health and food security initiatives. The primary focus will be on addressing malnutrition, promoting healthy eating habits, and supporting vulnerable populations, particularly women and children, in accessing essential nutrients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Advocacy visit / awareness creation and engaging community stakeholders on the Nutrition project activities for community acceptance and participation.
    • Monitor and supervise the CNMs to ensure activities are being carried out on site effectively.
    • Plan and organize nutrition activities at designated MAM sites in liaison with the nutrition officer and other program staff.
    • Conduct regular focus group discussions with beneficiaries to assess barriers to optimal IYCF uptake
    • Organize and participate in food demonstration sessions periodically
    • Support field level technical assessments and plan and organize GCCHRI community led supplementary program in project location site in liaison with the Nutrition Officer/Manager.
    • Conduct extensive routine integrated management of acute malnutrition (IMAM) Screening using mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC) tape, bilateral pitting edema detection, operating under the SOPs of the CMAM component and principles.
    • Supporting targeting of beneficiaries; formation and establishment of Mother Care groups; selection of community volunteers and members of community structures.
    • Work closely with care group promoters and lead mothers to ensure all aspects of the program are understood and agreed and appropriate referrals take place to and from the community to MAM sites.
    • Support the development of case studies and success stories from program implementation.
    • Develop network with other actors in the operational area as well as community leaders/representatives
    • Educate lactating/breastfeeding mothers on maternal infant and young child nutrition (MIYCN) and effective breastfeeding positions for good mother – child bonding during breastfeeding.
    • Oversee the preparation for complementary food demonstration activities.
    • Respond to inquiries regarding the technical aspects of the program admission and discharge whenever necessary at the MAM sites.
    • Follow-up and ensure the field team interacts with the beneficiaries and community leaders properly.
    • Screen and refer Moderate acute malnutrition cases to the Tom Brown TSFP activity for 8 weeks.
    • Participate in the hygiene promotion education to care givers and children at community and household level.
    • Ensure Gender mainstreaming in nutrition, and integration of other sectors
    • Organize and oversee the weekly / monthly MIYCN support group activities and ensure attendance data are well recorded for accountability.
    • Weekly and monthly reports writing on the nutrition project activities.
    • Conduct regular technical monitoring of nutrition activities and document findings to inform improvements in
    • Attend refresher training on Safeguarding and commit to setting at least one Safeguarding goal each year.

    Human Resource Intern

    Job Summary:

    The Human Resource Intern will support the HR team with various tasks, including recruitment, employee relations, training, and administrative duties. The intern will gain hands-on experience in HR practices and contribute to the organization\'s growth.

    Key Responsilities

    • Track staff movements (annual leave, special leave, public holidays) and generate a monthly report.
    • Maintain and update staff files continuously.
    • Ensure staff sign their pay slips at the end of each month.
    • Ensure that all HR files are compliant, and that each employee’s file is up to date.
    • Review personnel files to identify gaps, initiate corrective actions, and update the verification checklist.
    • Update and track timesheets for all staff.
    • Ensure hard and electronic filing of staff lifecycle documents (from hiring to departure) is properly managed.
    • Maintain proper hard and electronic filing of tax declarations and payment records.
    • Provide regular reports to Executive Director.
    • Perform other tasks assigned by the Executive Director.

    Job Requirements

    Pursuing or recently completed a degree in:

    • Business Administration, public Administration, Law or any social sciences related field.
    • Professional experience in HR Management, Administration or Finance. 
    • Organizational Development and good knowledge of applicable labour laws.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills

    Procurement Intern

    Job Summary:

    The Procurement Intern will support the procurement team in sourcing, purchasing, and contract management. The intern will gain hands-on experience in procurement processes, contributing to the organization\'s operational efficiency.

    • Following the guidance of the procurement staff, to ensure that all fields’ goods, to be dispatched along with all the needed documentation (Waybill).
    • Collaborate with suppliers to build and maintain good working relationships.

    Job Requirement

    • ND/Diploma or Recent graduate in Supply Chain Management, Economics and Business Administration.
    • Basic understanding of operations and logistics management.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work a team.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

    • Fluency in English, Hausa and Kanuri is required.
