ROLE SUMMARY
We are looking for a results-driven *Business Development Manager* to grow our client base, build strategic partnerships, and increase company revenue. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and converting leads into long-term business.
This role requires someone who is proactive, target-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Growth & Revenue
- Develop and execute strategies to acquire new clients and expand existing accounts.
- Identify market opportunities and propose solutions that align with company goals.
- Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to meet monthly/quarterly revenue targets.
Market Research & Partnerships
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Build and maintain relationships with potential partners, clients, and stakeholders.
- Represent the company at meetings, events, and industry forums.
Client Relationship Management
- Manage key accounts to ensure satisfaction, retention, and upselling opportunities.
- Address client concerns quickly and maintain a high level of professionalism.
Reporting & Planning
- Track sales pipeline, prepare weekly performance reports, and present updates to management.
- Contribute to the overall business strategy with actionable insights from the market.
EXPECTATIONS / KPIs FOR THE ROLE
- Achieve agreed monthly revenue and client acquisition targets.
- Build a pipeline of at least 20 qualified leads within the first 3 months.
- Establish 4-5 strategic partnerships within 6 months.
- Maintain 80%+ client satisfaction and retention rate.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: Minimum 3-4 years in business development, sales, or partnerships.
- Skills:* Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Comfortable with cold calls, meetings, and client pitches.
- Knowledge: Familiar with the Nigerian market and digital tools like CRM, Microsoft Excel, and Google Workspace.
- Attributes: Self-motivated, resilient, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
WORK TERMS
- Salary:* ₦250,000 per month, paid at month-end.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 8am – 5pm. or evening work may be required for client meetings or events.
- Notice Period: One (1) month notice required . Failure to serve notice will result in forfeiture of that month’s salary.
