    NYSC Interns

    We are in need of a talent with multitasking skills and knowledge - driven fresh graduates with strong academic achievements and willingness to learn. The Intern will have have the opportunity to experience work life at Norrenberger and gain insights into the world of investment. This role is designed to offer practical learning opportunities while supporting the daily operations of the team.

    Job Details

    • Identifying and targeting potential customers through telephone calls, and emails.
    • Processing clients’ deposits and withdrawals and maintain clients’ accounts.
    • Developing and executing sales strategies to achieve targets and increase revenue.
    • Conducting customer needs assessments and making recommendations for product and service offerings
    • Responsible for closing sales deals with prospective clients.
    • Assist in day-to-day departmental operations and project execution.
    • Support documentation, filing, and data entry activities.
    • Participate in the preparation of reports, presentations, and records as required.
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely task completion.
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

    Requirements

    • Applicant must be a serving Corps Member.
    • Applicant MUST possess a minimum of a second-class lower in Economics, or a related field.
    • Can prioritize tasks and pay strict attention to detail.
    • Interest in building a career in the Financial Sector is a plus.
    • Knowledge of Equities, Bonds, or the Capital Market.
    • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company information.
    • The candidate should possess good communication skills.

    Finance Manager

    As Finance Manager, you will undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, and budget and forecast preparation. You will drive tax management/administration and performance management, amongst others while acting as a consultant to the CFO and other Senior managers alike. 

    Job Details

    Management Accounting and Transaction: 

    • Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
    • Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner 
    • Ensure that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable 
    • Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly 
    • Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed 
    • Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis 
    • Maintain the chart of accounts and manage GL for accuracy 
    • Oversee management of tax- VAT, WHT, PAYE. Liaise with the company’s tax consultant, auditor and regulators for efficient tax management 
    • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions 

    Financial Reporting and Budgeting: 

    • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management account for management and regulators.
    • Issue timely and complete financial statements. 
    • Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report. 
    • Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations.
    • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics. 
    • Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts. 
    • Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management. 
    • Provide for a system of management cost reports. 
    • Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations. 
    • Ensure that financial reports comply with current accounting principles and financial reporting standards. 
    • Recommend benchmarks for the measurement of company financial performance goals. 
    • Responsible for the filing of quarterly and annual reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission. 

    Performance Management: 

    • Monitor and measure financial performance within the company. 
    • Oversee the collation & recording of performance information and provide assurance that these are recorded appropriately. 
    • Champion continuous finance process improvement within the company. 
    • Budget preparation, monitoring, and analysis. 
    • Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations and achievement of targets. 

    Compliance:

    • Provide regulatory reports to the compliance department for rendition. 
    • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit 
    • Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants 
    • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. 

    Requirements

    • Bachelors' degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Minimum of 7 years' Finance experience in the Financial Services Industry
    • Relevant professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA.
    • Strong organizational and leadership skills

    Client Experience Officer

    The Client Experience Officer is responsible for providing secretarial, clerical and administrative support and handling front office function and administration duties, attending to guests, answering phones, handling company inquiries, and sorting and receiving mail. Operates multi-line telephone system to answer incoming calls; directs callers to appropriate employee.

    Requirements

    • Provide exceptional client service support to internal and external clients, by ensuring that client objectives and needs are fully understood by other stakeholders, while liaising with the client throughout lifecycle to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Deliver front-line service to clients and related third parties, such as responding to client queries and ensuring agreed periodic service deliverables remain on track throughout the client lifecycle.
    • Assist in ad hoc business development activities by ensuring optimum product and service knowledge is upheld, providing insight into Norrenberger’s products and service offerings to prospects and clients.
    • Ensure escalation of client complaints/challenges promptly to resolve same within agreed timelines.
    • Post-sales client relationship management, supporting sales traders and business development teams in maintaining relationships with existing clients through high quality client service delivery and monthly spot checks to ascertain client experience with Norrenberger.
    • Set up in-house and CSCS accounts for new clients and intermediaries. Confirm and verify KYC documentation.
    • Ensure that client accounts and portfolios are kept compliant with regulations and Norrenberger’s internal policies.
    • Receive mandates while ensuring required documents are acquired and updated.
    • Liaise with Operations & Registrar Liaison to process intermember transfers and portfolio consolidation transactions in line with set timelines.
