    Media and Communication Expert

    About The Role

    • DNA Learning Center Nigeria is expanding its communication and outreach efforts. We seek a creative, organized, and tech-savvy Media and Commuication Expert to support our growing programs in science education, public engagement, and institutional visibility.
    • The ideal candidate will be passionate about storytelling, digital media, and using communication as a tool to advance scientific literacy and public awareness.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop engaging content for web, social media, newsletters, and print.
    • Support media planning, campaigns, and brand visibility initiatives.
    • Document programs and activities through photography, videography, and reports.
    • Manage and update website and social media pages regularly.
    • Assist in designing flyers, brochures, and other publicity materials.
    • Liaise with media partners, journalists, and stakeholders.
    • Support event coverage, live streaming, and post-event communication.
    • Maintain the media archive and content calendar.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media/Communication Studies, Marketing, or related field.
    • At least 2–3 years relevant experience in media, communications, or digital marketing.
    • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics.
    • Basic graphic design and video editing skills (Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar).
    • Ability to work creatively, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.
    • Experience in science communication or educational content (an added advantage).

    Media/Communication Assistant

    • Media/Communication Assistant supports the organization’s communication, publicity, and media relations activities. The role involves creating content, managing communication channels, promoting organizational programs, and maintaining a positive public image.

    Laboratory Instructor

    • A Laboratory Instructor is responsible for delivering practical instruction, supervising laboratory activities, and ensuring safe and effective use of laboratory equipment. The instructor supports theoretical learning by guiding students through experiments, demonstrations, and technical procedures.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Explain scientific concepts and experimental procedures clearly and effectively.
    • Conduct engaging laboratory and science practical sessions for students.
    • Prepare, manage, and maintain laboratory materials, equipment, and reagents.
    • Guide and supervise students during experiments to ensure safety and accuracy.
    • Monitor student performance, troubleshoot lab issues, and support curriculum development.

    Core Requirements / Qualifications

    • Master’s degree (M.Sc.) or PhD is an added advantage
    • Prior experience in laboratory work or teaching is preferred
