    Mechanical Technician (Flour Mill Experience)

    Job Summary:

    The Mechanical Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the execution of maintenance schedules for all mechanical installations within the mill. This position is vital for maintaining efficient operations and achieving production targets. The successful candidate will implement routine system checks and demonstrate proficiency in the use and maintenance of workshop equipment and tools.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure strict adherence to the maintenance schedule for all mechanical systems to guarantee operational efficiency.
    • Assist the Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) in identifying and ensuring the availability of spare parts required for maintenance activities.
    • Proactively attend to faults and perform troubleshooting on all mechanical systems on a daily basis.
    • Maintain accurate records of all repair and maintenance work conducted to support ongoing operations and compliance with safety standards.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and practices.

    Qualifications:

    • Labour Trade Test I as a Fitter Mechanic.
    • Labour Trade Tests II and III, along with an OND in Mechanical Engineering.
    • 2-3 years of experience in a related industry with a demonstrated understanding of mechanical systems.
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in a work environment.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum of 15 years of experience in production planning and maintenance in the Plastic/Packaging Industry,
    • Strong understanding of production processes, resource planning, and quality management systems.
